One of the best free venues to listen to music. Bring a blanket, chairs and your own picnic basket and enjoy the day or evening. There are usually a few food vendors as well. Great for families too.

It is nice to have such a great turn out to a music in the park program! I can hardly believe that it runs on donations alone with the wonderful sound crew and the bands they pick. I am glad to see that Memphians are really generous to Levitt Shell! I think it was a good show.

A friend who enjoys live music was visiting and we decided to go to a free concert at the Shell. The music was good, though a thunderstorm ended things early. It was a mostly friendly and festive atmosphere. Folks chatted to their 'neighbors' as well as to those they came with and it was a reminder of good ole southern... More

Found this place through our friends we went with, saw Seryn they were very good. It is a nice park and lots of locals show up every weekend for the concerts. Music lasted about an hour and a half. They sell food and drinks. Take lawn chairs or blanket, we took lawn chairs and glad we did, it rained the... More

When the weather's great, there's nothing like sitting out on the lawn (or in your portable chair) enjoying a wide range of free music with other folks. Sound and visibility are very good, and you can even bring your dog if you are willing to sit outside the main 'bowl' of the lawn.

Regardless of your place in life, the Levitt Shell is one of the best midtown experiences, and it is free at that! You can sit with friends (or make new ones), have a picnic, and listen to excellent musicians. It is peaceful and relaxing...and no need to worry about your children being too loud or disrupting the experience of others.... More

We have seen many bands there. It has good acoustics and is family friendly. There are always concerts going on there and it is a lot of fun to be that close to the stage and hear music or watch dance.

I don't even want the word to get out any more than it has about this little gem in Memphis. What a great evening spent listening to a wonderful blues band, fun food offerings from local food trucks and a fun, family-friendly vibe. Moved by the music, people stand up and dance or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. If... More

This spot is a bit hidden but when you get there you will be like OMG. It is an awesome outdoor stage. I love sitting in the lawn listening to live music. This spot hosts some really dope artists. I love it

Great place to see a show and enjoy the great outdoors right in the heart of midtown Memphis! Located in Overton Park along with the Memphis Zoo, Brooks Museum and Memphis College of Art.
