The experience was nice. The staff was friendly but for the price you don't get much. I feel like I should have received more products and service for the price.

At our appointment, I found out that they charge extra to cut hair for locks of love. It is ridiculous that they are making money off of a charitable cause for child cancer patients. Most salons would not charge extra for making a ponytail and cutting it off. In fact, as another reviewer said, I too have heard of salons who will do the entire cut for free if a donation is involved.

I brought my daughter here on a Sunday to get her haircut for a Locks of Love donation. I was extremely disappointed by the whole experience! First of all, I was surprised that they charge for the cut in the first place. They charge $29 for a Locks of Love Cut . I have since, found out that many salons & individual stylists do not charge anything at all for the cut, since it is for charity. Second of all the stylist that did the cut was obviously inexperienced. She chopped the ponytail very crooked, which caused the cut to be way too short in the back. At one point, I actually had to tell her to take more off to even it up! Then she hands me a wet ponytail that was not rubber-banded properly. I really could not tell how choppy and uneven the cut was until I got home. My daughter cried when I showed her the back w a mirror. And lastly, when we got home, I tried to speed up the drying process on the ponytail with a hairdryer and the whole thing started slipping apart. I salvaged as much as I could and bound it back together with several rubber bands & I hope Locks of Love will still accept it. Shame on you Sweet & Sassy! We will never be back!

Took my 5 year old daughter there for the makeover. She was really excited about going. The stylist was with her about 10 minutes. She did an OK job on the hair and a poor job on her nails and with the makeup. After the makeover, my daughter started crying in the car. I think Sweet and Sassy has a great idea, with terrible execution. We won't be going back

I took my 5 year old daughter and a friend to Sweet and Sassy to have her hair and nails done for her birthday. The girl who was assigned to us spent the entire visit telling me the troubles that she was having with her 15 year old daughter. At one point she even said a curse word and I let her know quickly that she could not talk that way in front of my daughter. She spent no time focusing on the kids and refused to give us any kind of discount for our day. I will never go to Sweet and Sassy again.

Took my daughter to Sweet and Sassy for the same services we had been receiving for 2 years. Only after they started did they tell me that their "Salon Menu" had changed (they did not mention this on the phone when scheduling the appointment) and the price more than doubled. When I tried to email the owner/manager, someone else replied and was not concerned with my unhappiness. Took my complaint to the BBB and the owner LIED about having video, etc to the contrary of my complaint.

THEY booked another party during my daughters party time and told me I would have to change it! This was two days before the party!!!! They would not compensate (discount or add an extra to my package) me if I changed the time (which was going to be a very big ordeal to do) AND would not refund my deposit! How do you not refund a deposit when it is the companies fault?!! They have no morals and do not care about their customers ONLY lining their pockets with money! GOOD LUCK AT YOUR NEW LOCATION, bc all I have read is negative things about other peoples experience! This was the second bad experience! My first was when I called to make an appointment and they told me I did not need one. I drove 40 minutes to get my daughters first hair cut and when we walked in they told me they were too busy and we had to have an appointment?!! This place is total trash, stay far away!!!!!!

So I booked the VIA after hours party for my daughter's 8th birthday. First problem was when I called the 1st time they said there was no problems to book the party at the time I wanted then when I went in to pay my deposit they where saying no that it had to be booked after hours. I said no I have already called plus the after hours part is just a name for adding an extra activity. Finally got that straightend out. Next, they told me that they didn't have a current list of songs for the karaoke. The worst was that the day befor the party it rained heavily and flooded one end of our road and the weather was calling for more rain. Going into Memphis from Arkansas on I-40 is bad and risky in great weather for example the 4 car pile up the month before. There is a lot of traffic and even more construction. I truly felt it wasn't safe to go. I live 1hr and 30 mins away. Not to mention I was afraid that if it continued to rain both ends of the road would go under and we wouldn't be able to get home. I called and the owner wouldn't refund our deposit or wouldn't reschedule. I was going to lose $65 and have pay another $65 to reschedule the party! The 1 hr and 45 min party was going to cost $419.00 before it was rescheduled after it was going to cost $484.00! I could take 30 kids to get pizza and movie with drinks and popcorn and still save money! Thats 25 minutes for them to do the hair, makeup and nails for 8 little girls, 30 mind for cake, model just 1 dress, sing 3 songs and dance! This a rip off! I will never take my child there ever again! Thank you sweet and sassy for ruining my 8 year Olds birthday!!!

Wow! We had our grand-darling's 4th birthday party at Sweet and Sassy. All the little girls were treated to the "princess" experience. They had their hair done, nails painted and eyeshadow applied. All glittered-up, they were instructed in princess waves and how to walk, as well as dance, the little runway.
The staff of teen-aged girls worked magic with the squirmy "princesses". Each little girl felt that for that moment that they were the princess they had dreamed of. Those girls put a lot of personality and pep into the fun-packed afternoon.
We only had to sit and watch as the staff did everything! They dressed, entertained and managed the entire party! They even cut and served the cake and ice cream! When our princess opened her gifts, a scribe took notes so that thank-you notes could be written to the guests. At the end of the party the teens even walked the princess to her chariot and loaded her gifts into it. Our niece, Rachel, was working that day and really put her heart and soul into doing a terrific job. Ask for her!
I can highly recommend having a party at Sweet and Sassy. The cost is a bit high, but it was so worth every penny to share in the children's delight.
