We stopped in for lunch and the place was hopping. We got a table right away and placed our order. The special was "the best meal on Beale" Deep fried catfish, rack of "fall off the bone" ribs, baby roasted potatoes, coleslaw and bbq beans. All this for $19.95! It was more than enough for both of us. Excellent food and great service.

The gumbo and fries are great, but the service was less than stellar. Maybe they are under staffed, but we were basically ignored by our server and one of the hostesses was sarcastic and rude.

Went for dinner here while in Memphis, the ribs were great as was the entertainment. Located in the middle of everything on Beale St.

Our family of five enjoyed an early lunch on a Monday. The catfish hoagie was on lunch special and gave a large piece of catfish on a delicious roll and lots of yummy fries. The children's menu gave the kids good sized servings/choices plus a scoop of ice cream included! Great location - easy walk if parking at Peabody Hotel.

You should ask what your drink is made with as they do not follow normal drink recipes. Ordered a Hurricane, normally made with Rum and got something that tasted like Vicks cough syrup. About asking what the drink was they said it is a hurricane, Southern Comfort and grenadine. Absolutely terrible! I'll go back to Memphis, but not to Blues... More

My wife and I spent our first evening in Memphis at Blues City Cafe. We both had baby back ribs that were fall-off-bone tender and spicy delicious. I believe the "best ribs in town" sign on the window. We both Also enjoyed the pecan pie with sauce. The next night we came back for females and apple dumplin. They were... More

Went in for lunch on a Tuesday and didn't have to wait. Plenty of tables open. We tried the BBQ pork Po'boy and local. Just can't remember the name of the beer. The food is excellent and plent of it. You definitely won't go hungry. Since it was lunchtime there was no live music but that is ok, the food... More
