Have to eat ribs in Memphis

As most places we passed on Beale St., nothing fancy. But, ee ordered stuffed mushrooms, rack of ribs and pecan pie and enjoyed them all.

My wife and I spent our first evening in Memphis at Blues City Cafe. We both had baby back ribs that were fall-off-bone tender and spicy delicious. I believe the "best ribs in town" sign on the window. We both Also enjoyed the pecan pie with sauce. The next night we came back for females and apple dumplin. They were... More

Went in for lunch on a Tuesday and didn't have to wait. Plenty of tables open. We tried the BBQ pork Po'boy and local. Just can't remember the name of the beer. The food is excellent and plent of it. You definitely won't go hungry. Since it was lunchtime there was no live music but that is ok, the food... More

We arrived in Memphis on a Friday night, on the way back from a car trip to the east coast with our grandchildren. The place has a great buzz, loud music, great food (spicy gumbo is the real thing) but the experience was ruined by the waitstaff, who put the priority on tables with heavy drinkers. We had an empty... More

Our evening was made not only by the ribs and music, but by the barman who was Dani Devitos double. Who greeted us by saying "hello you English Wan...s" He made some absolutely ridiculously strong stunning cocktails without a name. Although we guess it was something like English........ After which my shy wife was up there boogieing with the band!

We ate at the Blues City Cafe in Memphis in September last year and when we found out that we would be passing through Memphis we knew we had to cone back! The ribs are amazing, and the music on Sunday night is awesome! Loving some Blues City Cafe once again!

They asked us at the door if we wanted our food with music so when we said yes we got escorted into the bar area. The 3 piece band was very entertaining and we ordered drinks and supper. The food was good but not much of it. When I ordered 6 shrimp I assumed they were BIG ones. They were... More
