Interesting bridge and gorgeous views

There's not an awful lot to do, but the bridge is certainly an interesting piece of construction, that was advanced for the time when built! There is a board with some information nearby, and a car park immediately next to the bridge and a little further up the road for you to park free of charge. The views over the Caledonian Canal are also beautiful. Well worth a stop, even if it only takes up about 10 minutes of your time!

Worth a quick visit and easy to imagine it’s importance in the past

Seeing the river gushing below is lovely

Keep a look out for swallows feeding on the abundance of insects below the road bridge

A great bridge in a beautiful location! We travelled through in a boat. The earlier Loch keeper had called ahead and we passed through with no problem. What a great place!

Beautifully preserved bridge over River Oich. Pedestrian only and lovely views of lush surrounds. Worth a wee stop on a beautiful journey.

Small Piece of History

This quirky bridge to nowhere built in 1854 once was the river crossing the River Oich.
It is parallel to the concrete bridge now used by vehicular traffic and a small piece of history.

A lovely little country town with old pub and obviously the historical bridge - great pic locations
To get the most you need to stop and walk around either side of bridge to get best pics

Its a nice little stop off, there's also bigger swing bridge which you may see in operation if youre lucky. The bridge itself self is interesting, good for a few photos and its slightly springy so kids will probably like it too.
