This is really an experience to be enjoyed. Nick Nairn was brilliant, amusing and highly entertaining. The facilities at the cook school are excellent with all the best of equipment available for you to use throughout the day. You eat what you make, accompanied with wine supplied, while chatting to the other participants. Opportunity at end of day to buy... More

Came here on an Itison deal with a friend. You receive a warm welcome and are directed to a reception room where you help yourself to tea and coffee. At which point we were guided into the kitchen and talked through the kitchen features. The day was led by Nick, John and Colin. The whole experience was exellent as they... More

We have been a few times to these courses but this surpassed all our expectations. Fabulous food, great company and excellent tuition by Nick himself. If you only ever go on one cooking course....go on this one. Starter of smoked salmon on potato pikelets with horseradish cream. Main course of venison on potato rosti and creamed cabbage with roasted veg.... More

Once again I had a great day out at the cook school. Lovely menu, plenty wine and Nick even took this class. Main tip for going here is , don't drive home. When I get the chance to go I find best tips are, go with a friend if possible as you work in twos and one of you drive... More

We went to Nick Nairn Cook School and cooked Beef Wellington. The course was fantastic, Nick Nairn was great, had so much fun and we eat our meal at the end. Would definitely recommend. We will be going back 😄

Nick and Tony are a great double act. They managed to get me to make a really tasty meal considering the liberal glasses of wine!. Got a lot of tips on how to improve my cooking skills. Enjoyed it so much can't wait to book for the next course. Fantastic value too..

Our eldest son is interested in cookery and is thinking of becoming a chef so when we saw Nick Nairn was now doing lessons for kids it was ideal. Excellent value at £29 for over 2 hours of tuition in a small group in the purpose built kitchen classroom. They made delicious spaghetti and meatballs: making their own pasta from... More

I attended Nick Nairn's new course at Port of Menteith yesterday, celebrating the dishes prepared for Her Majesty to celebrate her 80th Birthday. Fabulous day made even better by the unexpected presence of Nick himself. As this was a new course not everything went entirely to plan, which only added to the fun and humour that we all experienced throughout... More
