Awesome! We visited oct22 so struggled to find any boat hires open, rang “Loch Goil Cruisers “ who accommodated us no problem.
The boats are very self intuitive, a quick overview of the loch and controls from the owner and your away. My 8year old handled the boat for the most part so don’t be afraid to have a go .
The boats are clean and maintained enough for there purpose, they have a semi covered area up front which is useful if the weathers against you. The included life vests are modern and clean, although we don’t fish, rods etc were available to hire.
We had 3 hrs which is just enough to get out of loch goil and in to loch long, quick picnic on the boat and return with a few slow sections when we saw something of interest (seals) (oil tanker in loch long) etc .
I would certainly recommend and if in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to hire again, and for a longer duration .
We were charged £85 for 3 hours with fuel included, bargain if you ask me, couldn’t expect it for less .

We were staying in Lochgoilhead with friends and their teenage son for the week and had looked at activities to do in advance ahead of driving up. Have to say, we saved the best for last taking out a boat for three hours on the last day of our stay yesterday.
You forget about the different perspective on your surroundings that you get when you’re on the water. Thankfully the weather was with us all afternoon and we were lucky enough to see seals, a couple of porpoise and the beautiful spectacle of the Gannets and Cormorants diving and hunting for food. It was the perfect ending to a lovely week. Cannot thank the lovely and helpful staff enough. Was great fun and highly recommended to anyone staying in the area. We even managed to bring the boat back in one piece and land it on the jetty at the appropriate time - which was a bit of an achievement considering that on the final approach we somehow managed to go in to full reverse. Hmmmmm I blame the co-pilot.
Seriously though, anyone apprehensive of taking a boat out for the first time has nothing to fear here - life jackets and full safety instructions provided. It was a lovely day. Thank you all.

Biggest waste of £75. We were verbally told the price was £60 for two hours only to arrive and be told it was £75 for 3 hours. Once on the boat further out the Loch visibility was poor due to rain and mist which would not have been a problem had the windscreen wiper not broke and came away resulting in not being able to see a thing. Spent 20 mins trying to fix it with a pen knife. We told owner when we came back 1.5 hours later who informed us casually “oh yeah ….there’s a screwdriver in the boat”. (? Eh). Will not return ………money oriented

Would highly recommend booking 1 of these cruisers was such a wonderful experience.
There was 5 of us on-board 1 10 year old and 4 adults and everyone had such a great time!
We took a picnic on board and sailed around the Loch and also hired 2 rods for a spot of fishing!
The views are litterly breathtaking and the Loch is stunning!
We spotted lots of Seals, different species of birds and we also spotted some porpoises near the lighthouse.
We booked a 3 hour slot from 4-7pm and had the most perfect time.
This is a must for anyone in or visiting Lochgoilhead.

We love boats! I come from a sailing family although sadly no longer have our yacht. We do world cruises and we also hire with Le Boat / Hoseasons in Europe.
Any opportunity to get on the water we grab and so glad I located this company before we visited Scotland.
Emailed and made a booking for our 26 Wedding Anniversary during COVID19 (should have been in Canada)
We had glorious weather, lovely sunny September.
Had excellent email communication about the booking, arranged 10am for 4 hours with hire of a fishing rod.
When we arrived all boats where being checked over and engines running.
Boats excellent condition, can seat 10 and 4 of you nicely sheltered from wind and rain.
We where able to motor the whole of Loch Goil, past the sea-lions sunbathing on the rocks later when we came back some where playing in the water.
Near the castle we saw 2 dolphins.
We turned into Loch Long and went as far as the oil refinery, 2 massive containers in and an Oban fishing boat fishing.
We turned the engine off several times and just drifted gently whilst we fished and as a couple of amateurs had good success
Was a fabulous 4 hours on the water.
Ideal to take family and picnic
We personally went next door when we docked to The Boat House and had toasted sandwiches

A long term dream of my husbands has now come true. He loved the whole afternoon- driving the boat, fishing, and i loved the wildlife. The owner of the boat is excellent, giving instructions on how to drive the boat and were friendly and welcoming. would highly recommend.

Booked this a week or so in advance through emails and the owner was happy to accommodate what we needed.
After a guide to the boat, we were out on the loch. Hadn't picked the best day, weather-wise, but the drizzle kept off for most of the time, and when it did arrive four of us and the dog could easy fit under the covered bit (and our manual windscreen wiper worked fine!)
We were lucky that we got to see both the seals and porpoises. We had two fishing rods, and also hit a bit of a mackerel shoal, landing 9 within a 15 min period near the lighthouse (put them all back - but they were the first fish ever caught by my daughters)
We got a bit carried away with being out there and only just got back in the stroke of our time being up but the owner was fine.
All round, a brilliant experience from start to finish.

Hired a cruiser for 3 hours on Tuesday 6th October at pretty short notice. Very easy explanation of how to use the boat, whole family of 6 really enjoyed this. It’s certainly a great way to see the scenery of Loch Goil from a different angle. Great value for money.

Great experience & great way to see the Loch differently & the seals. Was a wet afternoon but it really didn’t matter. Was great to be out on the water for a few hours. Next time we might even try the fishing.
Kids loved getting to drive the boat. What an experience for them.
We hired a boat last minute & the owner was very quick at getting back to me via email. Great service. Highly recommend you do it.

Don’t book is my advice they are shocking company. Take advantage of the fact there are no other boat companies nearby but hopefully someone will put them out of business soon
