About
Welcome to Loch Katrine - one of Scotland's special places. Just as special as the magnificent scenery is the famous steamship "Sir Walter Scott" which itself has been a landmark in The Trossachs for over a hundred years. Your visit is not complete without a cruise on this wonderful ship, or on "Lady of the Lake", the perfect way to experience the beauty of Loch Katrine. Perhaps you'll just want to relax with a coffee or a meal in the Brenachoile Cafe Bar, shop for a souvenir and take a stroll by the shore, or bring the family for a cycle trip?

Breath taking Views in beautiful Scotland.
So worth bringing yore family and friends to climb aboard the boat that's takes you up the loch. With scenery that makes you're heart skip a beat. Highly recommended this place. Until we meet again Bonny Scotland.

Wonderful

A staff member at my accommodation in Stirling said I should go to Loch Katrine and hire a bicycle for the day and I am very happy I did. After lots of rain yesterday the weather was nice and sunny and I had a wonderful day. The bicycle path around the lake is not so hard and view was always very pretty. It was easy to get there from Stirling by car.

Picturesque walk

Lovely walk round Loch Katrine, we timed it well as it started raining very heavily when we got in our car. Lots of people hiring bikes and biking round, we walked around 1.5 miles and then came back, I don’t think you could walk all the way around. Good facilities and parking.

Lovely trip here for bike hire. Stunning scenery and cycle path along the Loch, not flat, but okay with reasonable fitness. Gorgeous

Incredible scenic rides
Jul 2021 • Family
What an incredibly beautiful and scenic ride! A true hidden gem within the Scottish Highlands. The path is suitable For beginners and children (there are inclines that are followed by downhill rides). Excellent service and bikes! It’s just stunning, you’ve got to try it!

Bike ride around the loch...

Loch Katrine is one of the most beautiful spots in the Trossachs, in my very humble opinion. As the steamship is currently out of action we decided to hire bikes from Katrine Wheelz, which was so worth doing! The staff were very friendly (we met Mark and a young lass, we didn’t get her name) and they even provided a little covered trailer for our dog to keep cool in on what was a very hot day. Make sure you pre-book if you want to see the loch this way - we booked the day before and it’s a good job we did because when we arrived they had sold out!
A must-see place if you want to fully appreciate the natural beauty of Scotland, and dabble in a little of its literary history on the way. :)

Delightful trip, recommended
Jul 2021
My daughter and I went on the Lady of the Lake last week around Loch Katrine. We went on an Itison offer which included parking fees and afternoon tea, it might be a bit expensive for a family outing normally. It was a very relaxing and interesting voyage, beautiful views. The trip took less time than advertised. Covid safety measures were in place. Afternoon tea, at the pier, was very good, although service was slow despite not being very busy. Not the place to go if it's raining.
I'm putting in the negatives but it was enjoyable.

Stunning views

We followed the green way markers- bit of an uphill trek but well worth the views. The boat trip also looked like a great way to see the lake, or you can hire bikes- great flat(ish) path- the part we walked from car park was tarmac.
