- Bill MOldham, United Kingdom279 contributionsA smallish car park, but got parked. A short (5 min) walk on a level path to the falls, a couple of easily accessible viewing areas, and the option of walking down to the river for the more nimble. No charge, definitely worth a visit.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 25, 2024
- MikeP96 contributionsWhat you see depends on recent rain but it's worth a quick look if you're passing. The small free car park can be very busy but it's unlikely everyone is staying for long. Wander along the caged tunnel for a different view of the falls.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 9, 2024
- Emma27 contributionsWent at the end of a rainy day, the falls were roaring- powerful sight. Small uneven car park but most people don’t stay long so a space opened up in a couple of minutes. Short 5-10 min walk along fairly even track. I was using a wheelchair with a strong companion and it was reasonably easy to get me to the waterfall. A great free little stop off.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 13, 2024
- 287LogesSydney, Australia569 contributionsNice spot for a quick visit. Only small falls but quite a scenic spot. Some people were swimming in the pools at the bottom of the falls. Short walk from the car park and there is a small viewing platform. Small car park off the main road with room for about 10-15 cars. Quite tight to park especially if you get a few RV s in there.Visited June 2024Traveled soloWritten July 3, 2024

5point Review
Around Loch Lomond, this place is worth a stop
1. Thumbs up : Nice Scenic spot, free flowing falls. Small pools and streams for leisurely swim. More like a picnic spot
2. Thumbs down : Cold water even on hottest summer days (Being used to the warm beaches of gulf and south east Asia this was freezing cold for me)
3. Wow factor : some people were diving from the rocks into the pool. I dared not due to cold water. Nope, no brainless adventurism when with family.
4. Money Matters : Free, so dont check your pockets
5. 5point Experience : you can have some pics and move on if not interested in wild swimming. Other than that nothing much to do
My verdict : Visitable.

Just a great stopping point. Would recommend to go early as it gets very busy and there is only about space for 10 cars. You can walk a 5 min walk to the end of the path to see the falls and there is a viewing point there too. You can then come back and there is a few different wee benches you can sit at to watch the smaller falls too and then the river below.

The sign for here has been spray painted over so we weren’t hopeful! But pulled into the car park (free) and there were other cars in. Walked along the well marked path to the waterfalls (about 20 minutes and level but muddy) The falls themselves are stunning, also an art installation viewing platform that is worth seeing.
If you are in the area and need a leg stretch this place is well worth going!

If you're driving along the A82 then this gem of a place is well worth a visit.
Be warned the parking is limited hence a star off so, like us, you may have to park at the side of the road.
The entertainment provided by other visitors really did make us chuckle. A group of lads were jumping off the top into the pool.
With hindsight we should have taken swimming kit and a picnic as we could have easily stayed for hours.
Well worth a visit.

A lovely little surprise on our way to Tyndrum. We stopped off and walked the short distance to the falls, vey beautiful. The day we were there a couple of blokes were doing free jumping into the pool below. Well worth a stop off on your way.

Without our guide from Alba Experiences we would have never visited this area.
We had rain all week prior and this made the falls fuller, in fact quite torrential and more impressive.
Yes, there is limited parking, one of those motor home vehicles parks there and it's a touch chaotic.
A very short walk from the car park and you are there looking at these very impressive falls. There is even a viewing platform.
Up to an hour is more than enough, especially as others will be wanting to visit.

This place is a hidden gem off the famous A82 road to Glencoe. There's a car park which can hold about 20 cars and the falls are about a 3-4min walk from them. You can hear them before you see them and they are stunning and well worth a stop.

I stopped off to see the falls as it was years since I had been. The sign has been spray painted over so missed the turning the first time but got there in the end. The falls are definitely worth seeing . They are very powerful and the scenery is lovely . The car park was mobbed and as it had been raining was muddy along the bottom end . There is a short walk through the woods then the views are straight in front of you . On that day 4 boys were diving in to the deep pool although it must have been extremely cold. There are paths you can follow to go to the lower falls but due to the weather conditions it wasn’t the day for it but would have been nice if the ground had been drier.

These falls, located near Loch Lomond in The Trossachs National Park, offer an easy way to enjoy nature without investing a ton of time. The parking area is adjacent to the main highway and has room for several vehicles. The falls are a very short hike away and are oh so pretty! The area is quiet with numerous birds and other wildlife. Take a few minutes out of your day and enjoy!

While beautiful and literary associations, it is suffering from too many visitors, litter around the falls etc. the main problem in peak season is the tiny car park. Big road sign courtesy of Scottish tourism does not prepare you for the lack of parking with only one way in and out which meant we got stuck turning round and exiting as more cars and a camper van were coming in blocking the only way in or out. Not recommended if going by car in busy season.

Hi is the path smooth?
is this ideal to come with someone in a wheelchair? Or is it too rocky?
Would I struggle to push the chair to see it?
Written April 12, 2018
The path is relatively easy, but like any woodland path it can get muddy in the rain.

Cheers for the heads up mate. Do you know if there is free parking?

Hi, Am thinking of coming this weekend as we are in Stirling but when I get directions its saying its 2 hours away almost at Glencoe? Is this correct or is there an address I can put in the sat nav?
Thanks

Yes, the falls are at least a 90 min drive from Stirling. They are 5 miles south of Crianlarich on A82. We visited the falls on our way from Glasgow to Oban. We drove the length of Loch Lomond, along the west side. Hope this helps!
