The kids loved the short Waterfall Walk. Make sure at the waterfall that you take the signposted extension to the wildlife hide, where we saw 3 red squirrels and lots of birds, its only a couple of minutes further each way.

For such a short and easy trail there is quite some variety, including play equipment that kept the kids entertained every so often, a trail about finding bird eggs, a waterfall, a boardwalk over a bog, the wildlife hide, hammocks in the pines etc.

Would recommend to families with young kids, we had no complaints from ours whatsoever!

Spent a couple of hours wandering through the forest trails close to the main lodge/ Relatively easy walking but a few steep rises to negotiate. The waterfall is pretty close to the lodge and worth a visit but the nature hide was the highlight. This is close to the waterfall in a little clearing with viewing ports so you don't disturb the wildlife. Red squirrels and various birdlife are advertised and sure enough there was a red squirrel on view as well as several species of tits and some crossbills. Mind you given the amount of food on offer for the animals I'm pretty sure you would see plenty of wildlife anytime as the squirrel seemed quite at ease being viewed and photographed. Looked a bit like the ubiquitous "Wild safari parks" or zoos as I would call them in Africa

This is a great forest park for walks .
We have done some in there and really enjoyed the nature and peaceful feel of the place . Lots of birds to see and in one place we saw lots of red squirrels.
Lovely waterways and a terrific waterfall are to be enjoyed as well as some wonderful trees and all sorts of bushes, in places the ground is covered in moss like a carpet.
A must place to see if in the area

Spent a lovely few hours here wandering through the forest on the well marked trails. sat and watched the red squirrels and so many different birds form the hide. Lovely cafe with views for a hot chocolate (could have been a bit hotter) Good way to spend time, also got to see participants on Go-Ape

Highlight for us today was the cafe. Beautiful new cafe with delicious home baking offerings including to my delight a stunning vegan lemon and blueberry cake. 3 choices of plant milk (soya, oat and coconut) and a delicious lavazza latte with syrups to choose from and it looks like a great selection of iced flavoured teas and many other hot tea variations. The visitor centre is superb with tons of activities, videos, live cameras and all the staff are more than helpful with a very friendly attitude. My family joined the go ape treetop adventure and myself and 2 others stayed to relax. There are great walks with easy to follow markers. Great place, well done Forestry and land commission. 🙌👏

What a great way to spend a couple of hours. Easy parking, wonderful well sign posted walks through the forest past the waterfall to a hide to see (the highlight of the day) red squirrels, as well as many different species of birds, the walk back was a bit of a climb but the that's what you get with an easy walk down. Would have had a go on the zip wire but being 61 years old, thought a sit down and a cup of coffee more apt.

Visited this park several times during our stay in Scotland. Loved the walks especially those to the waterfalls and the amazing scenery. Also enjoyed the three loch drive. But the highlight was sitting in the hide watching the red squirrels. Will be sure to return as there are plenty of other walks we didn’t get to do.

We first drove to the The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre near Aberfoyle and took a brilliant walk called the Oak Coppice trail. Although the oak trees were not yet in leave, the undergrowth was lush and green. The path was wet and muddy in places but we managed ok. There was a lot of birdsong and very peaceful. It took us just over one hour to complete the walk. We grabbed a hot drink and headed off on the Three Lochs Forest Drive which was lovely. We stopped at the main parking area and took the Loch Drunkie Trail. The first half of the walk was through a forest of tall trees with predominantly moss undergrowth and then we returned to the car park along the loch edge. We loved this walk which took us about an hour.

We loved this place, but especially the way-marked simple route which was accessible by wheelchair. The short walk was full of amazing sights and surprises, both natural and a few (beautifully) man-made. Lying in a hammock, peering up through the trees was memorable and fun.
The visitor centre itself was an excellent source of information: every member of staff was helpful. A small, tasteful gift shop and a good café completed the facility. We would have planned for a longer stay, had we known how good it would be.
