After a scenic drive on a narrow road alongside Loch Sween we came to Keills Chapel, a short walk up from the carpark. The situation is tranquil and idyllic with views over the sea to Jura - you could be happy here just immersing yourself...More

After leaving the main A816 road and stopping briefly at Tayvallich, the chapel is a further 5 miles along the only road. When the road ends at a very small parking area it is only a short walk along the headland and involves a climb...More

This is a lovely walk, served by a small carpark. The chapel is fascinating, the sculptered stones some of the best I've seen, well worth the small climb. After you've visited, follow the road for around 1/4 mile for beautiful views of Jura, and keep...More

Kells Chapel a great drive along to this lovely little ruin and beyond, very interesting old burial stones inside, with plenty information about them all. Great view from Chapel. A beautiful day out had by us.

Long drive south of Tayvallich on single track road and through one road gate before parking in tiny space at side of road before final gate. Sharp but short climb from road up to the chapel is worthwhile - fascinating chapel and ancient stones, plus...More

The long drive down the peninsula to the chapel is scenic and well worth the drive. It's a steep but short walk up to the chapel. Once inside the chapel walls are lined with ancient gravestones and history boards. Beautifully maintained by historic Scotland.

Stunning, if you're lucky you might just spot an otter or two. Great views of jura, quiet and peaceful and a visit to the chapel is well worth a visit.

Keil's Chapel is at the end of the road through the Knapdale peninsula - follow the B8025 through Tayvallich for another 5 miles. You'll need to go through one gate and then park before walking through a second gate and taking a short, gentle climb...More
