We took over an early ferry from a certain neighboring Island, and made it over to the distillery before it opened. We waited for the to open at 10am we then did a tour which is the more in depth tour, 15 quid a person,...More

We visited Jura on a day trip from Islay. The ferry over was excellent. It runs regularly and takes approx. 10 mins. Jura is a lovely island with basically one road. The Jura Distillery shop was small but well designed. We had a few small...More

The tour guide was either weak, or the process of making Jura whisky is different to every other. We didn't enjoy the tour or the whisky. Even the most expensive one tasted like a poor blend. The island is beautiful though.

Loved my short visit to the shop, thank you Rachael and Graham for welcome and knowledge. Great experience and very impressed with whisky, soap hand lotion and bath salts, they smell amazing. Look forward to another visit and hope I have time for a tour.

We were guided around the distillery by Adam and I feel he struck a good balance between knowledge and a relaxed approach. Adam was very informative and gave us a few insights into the wee individual quirks that Jura has. Lovely selection of drams at...More

Jura was a surprise. Name as the island, small island, their tasting room is small, cozy and the young "lad" that is in charge couldn't me more charming! A must see. Check time of the Ferry before going, so you are sure that you have...More

We were pretty much ignored by woman working in the shop. She acknowledged us after few minutes with 'hello' and 'let me know if you need anything' while walking away from us. We were only people in the shop. So we spend our money in...More

Staying on Jura for the week, it coincided with the whisky festival on Islay and Jura. Staff at the distillery are very friendly and Adam gave a very entertaining tour. Lots of drams to try, we came home with a great collection!

Great distillery tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The distillery was not fully open when we visited so we were just shown the main parts. Very generous drams after. Lovely setting, and despite being a large distillery in terms of production it had...More

It would take probably one hour to walk to the brewery, but I think there is a community bus that runs a few times a day - perhaps check out the Jura Community Website?
