Hamilton Kerr is owned and managed by an exceptionally friendly and professional husband/wife team. They have framed a number of pictures for me, always to a very high standard. I have also bought framed pictures of their own work to give as gifts to friends, who have been always been delighted. I would highly recommend them for all framing of your precious memories.

For at least the past five years, I have made it my habit (and pleasure, I must add,) to take a look in the window at the wares of this fine, serious photography family. They have added something wonderful to the many already interesting things to see in J. M. Barrie's "Little Red Town". Professional to the last, they both powerfully present originality, quality and an unerring eye for art in their endeavours, without using easy or showy tricks. If you have an eye for it, it's almost worth a visit to Kirrie simply to stare at the Window in Thrums of Hamilton Kerr.

My wife and I were having a walk around Kirriemuir town centre this afternoon when we were drawn to Hamilton Kerr's shop by the lovely art displayed in their windows.
We entered the shop and had a look at the artwork on display.
Quite a range of topics but we were particularly drawn to a picture of the Tay Rail Bridge disappearing into the fog!
Judging by some of the human portraits displayed in the windows this looks like a great place to have memorable family pictures taken as well.

Hamilton Kerr Gallery in Kirriemuir is a combination framing shop and photographic gallery. There are some very impressive photos for sale and even if you don't buy any they can give you some inspiration and ideas for your own humble efforts.
