Thanks for the review, sorry you felt you couldn't go in, the grounds are open all year. Although the main gate may have been closed and locked foot entry is allowed all year via the side gates at any time of the day or night.

Had a walk round the Park used for Braemar Gathering which is the Highland Games held in Braemar before the Queen and her family. People come from all over the world to see these games and get a glimpse of the Queen

If your looking for a place to eat just had dinner in the Gathering Bistro in Braemar. Really good food. Relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend. Will certainly be back. Lynne x

Great time with the children Loved every moment of it I want to be a highlander. But I can't as I'm not from there Great games.

I would have to say that this was my favourite day in Scotland, the games are a must see for visitors and seeing the Queen was definitely a highlight . If you can this is a must do while in Scotland

Yes, there are actual seats. The games are held in a natural bowl geographically so don't let photos throw you off. Many people just sit on the hills above the seats in their own lawn chairs, but ticketed seats are much... More
