It was a rainy and cold day when I visited at the garden. I ate on a restaurant (good food and coffee at reasonable price) and then walked around the garden. I love woodland gardens, they are so calming and tranquil. If you are around Poolewe, you should visit the garden, too!

Pleasant gardens on the west coast of Scotland. Wonderful views on the drive to and from the gardens. Car park not overlarge so may get congested during peak season. Toilets in reception area not in the gardens. You'll need the map to get around to ensure you see the whole area. Some steps and steep paths to and from a... More

This is a very interesting and beautiful garden with a variety of features. There are both formal gardens and woodland walks. The gardens are located alongside a loch affording lovely views particularly from the terraced gardens. Dogs are not allowed in the garden but there are some pleasant walks from the car park as well as some parking in the... More

If in the area the gardens are worth a visit, set in 54 acres,so many different spieces of trees, shrubs and plants from around the world to see, takes about 1-30hr / 2hr to walk around,we stopped for a cappuccino at the Bothy situated in the middle of the gardens next to the house.

Gorgeous and if you go later in the evening and it is closed you can still go in and make a donation in the honesty box. Midges can be a problem then though,

DIdn't expect a great deal as this is North Scotland but supposed to be pretty amazing. Really nice location and some good views from the walks through the woods. There are lots of different trees, bushes and plants and some you wouldn't expect to see here. Visitor centre and restaurant typical National Trust.Visited on our England and Wales NT card.

National Trust Scotland place nicely laid out but to be honest in the middle of summer not much colour. Not a bad place to come for a wander around if you are in the area but don't make a special trip.

If you're going to go all the way to Wester Ross, then a visit to Inverewe should always be on the agenda. Hacked out of a fairly unforgiving Scottish wilderness, it's probably one of the world's greatest gardens with a diverse range of plants from all over the globe. On a 54 acre site, bounded by mountains, moorland and Loch... More

Can't say anymore than what has been said before. Terrific! I read the review from the person who complained about lack of name tags - well I don't agree with that. Really well presented and easy to read. Two issues really - too much to take in during one visit (😊) and the food in the restaurant is expensive for... More
