We lived everything about this place. Our daughter loved the trial she could do finding different plants. I loved the photographic opportunities and the house which is done up to the correct period. Midges where out in force. But hey its scotland. I loved sitting by the shore and watching the wildlife. We then went to the cage near the... More

My husband and I visited here on a drizzly day but the beauty of our surroundings more than made up for the weather . The gardens are beautifully laid out and so tranquil . We came away with great ideas for our own small plot . The house itself ,especially the kitchen , is so homely it's as if the... More

We came here for a morning and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave but it started raining hard! The house and the garden are just amazing. They work so hard, the staff are very friendly and we were lucky that the garden was very quiet and we had it to ourselves virtually. The home made cake in... More

Starting at the walled gardens and on up and around the gardens, there are ots of unusual plants, trees and shrubs to see. Best quote was that an amateur gardner would spend a day, a professional a week and a horticulturist a month to get the best of the gardens

Visited with my wife last week and absolutely loved our time wandering around the different parts of the gardens and enjoying the walks through the various themed areas. I especially liked the walled gardens, the vegetable garden, the south African area and the views out over the water were breathtakingly beautiful. The gardens are (mostly) well signposted, the coffee shop... More

These gardens are just lovely. The location is absolutely stunning at this bay. The flowers are doing very well at this protected spot. There's quite a spectacular ensemble of species including tropical plants. The views in the back of the park are absolutely stunning. It takes a while to get back and forth in the garden. We decided to take... More

A beautiful place that has such an interesting history. The gardens are just stunning - in their variety and their beauty. A wonderful place to go for garden lovers and novices alike and great for kids to learn. The views are magnificent and you can take your time to get around. The cafe has nice food as well. A lovely... More

Our second visit this year as in April there were not many coloured plants out flowering but on this visit there were not too many more either. Great views over Poolewe. Great photos. Lovely cafe but quite expensive but friendly attentive staff. Clean toilets. Massive car park - should have larger spaces for motorhomes. Nice shop seeking SNT gifts.

We visited on a lovely sunny day and these gardens are simply stunning. Allow a couple of hours to 'bimble' about, they really are spectacular. So well kept and the smells from all the varieties of flowers are breathtaking. The place is impeccably kept and everything seems so healthy which in it self is a miracle seeing as there are... Loved the gardens, very interesting. Amazing what you can grow on the wast coast of Scotland. The house had opened the week before and was fantastically interesting with a very nice lady who showed us round.
