This is a super venue for entertainment but it is let down very badly by the so-called catering. When this West Lothian Council owned centre re-opened after extensive refurbishment, the restaurant was quite good but the Council decided to cut costs and the restaurant went quickly downhill. I could list numerous disappointments that could not have been "one-offs" so people stopped using the restaurant, including members of the many groups that use the venue. The kitchen is now, apparently, closed. It is such a shame as the setting is lovely, the shows are good and I'm sure many theatre-goers would have appreciated a decent meal prior to the show. The staff are very friendly and helpful and cannot be faulted. Such a waste!

Great show excellent venue, our favourite place to go. Only disappointment last night was seeing a couple of people go out to get another drink during second half of performance. Never seen this before and think bar should be closed during performances. I think it’s a slight on the guest artists and the other paying customers,
In our opinion there is ample time to buy drink at the interval and bring it in with you when the signal goes for the start of the second half.

We visited at the weekend with our two year old Grandson, to see the Childrens Show. When we arrived, we found the place clean and well set out. Just as the show started, it was very loud and our Grandson got upset and vomited all over the floor. We left the theatre, and explained to a staff member. They were fantastic, nothing was to much. They helped us with cleaning him up, reassured us not to worry, they would get the area cleaned. Then found us seats up the back, where it would be quieter. This is not our first visit and will not be our last.

Large park suitable for families. There is also a local Mews theatre which holds various shows, exhibitions and has a cafe and restaurant too.

Stopped here with a friend as we wanted to see what's on over the next couple of months. Ended up having coffee and cake whilst chatting. Staff are friendly and there's a large choice of cakes, biscuits and snacks available at reasonable prices. Will have to pop back to try the hot food but all in, a pleasant experience.
