About
The Market Square, Broadford, is a great place to visit for unique, and interesting gifts, books, together with glass products, stones, & fossils, and Harris Tweed products, with gift cards, candles, & ice cream. There is also food and drink available too. The square has been refurbished, and has new shops for the 2018 season. Why not come along and check out the square. We will update with new photos very soon.

Visited today to buy gifts and coffee. Went into the shop selling gifts and ice creams and coffee. The lady was serving a coffee to a lady before me so I decided to order 3 coffees and whist the coffees were being prepared buy some gifts. I’d decided on.
To my surprise the lady when I said I would like 3 coffees the server said is the other stall outside not serving her coffee is better and technically refused to serve us. I left the shop disgusted with her approach and did not go back in to purchase the gift items. I’m surprised shops at the moment can. Just turn down sales. We drove on to a similar store selling gifts and coffees and a lovely lady serving and alongside the coffee I purchased £300 of gifts. I’m glad this shop got the sales and hopefully this establishment needs to rethink if it actually wants customers or what they want to sell
Disgusting

Quirky, colourful little square of small businesses. Had a lovely rummage in the vintage shop, antique shop & book shop. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but I love places like this.
Nice to see something a little different.

Skye and the Scottish highlands are great for a holiday if you love the outdoors, but not for any serious shopping. Even Fort William has very few shops of any significance, unless you're looking for walking and climbing gear. You have to travel to Inverness to see the sort of shops most folks take for granted in England.

Broadford is Skye's second largest "town". There's an interesting antique shop here and a bookshop, together with a "pop up" cafe (the owner was very helpful, even though I didn't buy anything).

It won't take you long to walk round this "market square" (the smallest I've ever come across), but you are probably not visiting Skye for its shopping facilities.

This is a Little Gem; as is Tabitha, herself! With so many books in my wee home in the East, I try very hard not to overcrowd my nooks and crannies BUT....all bibliophiles will know the obsession!
It's a MUST VISIT, in this nicely developing area with its stunning views. One year there was a mother and child from the Whale family having a bit of a sojourn (and being studied by Aberdeen University students, before it headed off "like a British Airways Plane"- as on onlooker said.)
So, you never know what you'll find on the Isle of Skye!
I used to live here, and return as often as I can, to visit friends.
Tabby's Nook is where I'll be returning to, having discovered another nook in my house (under the sofa) for more books.

Spectacular views, outstanding walks especially the Fairy Falls. Rugged countryside, jurasic mountains, not to be missed.

We nipped in and out of each wee hut, having a look. Took about 2 minutes total. Not a lot to see here.

Carter's cabin probably needs no introduction but the fossil shop is a gem!!!
Lovely selection of unusual stones and fossils. We'll run out of display space if we keep coming back. Items available to suit all budgets too. Pop in and take a look.

We spotted this as we drove past so turned round and parked in the free car park opposite the toilets.

We were not disappointed that we had stopped as there was some nice local products here and the staff in the shops were friendly too.

Nice little square and choice in the shops too

Stayed near the market so we popped over for a look round. Friendly people and interesting range of shopping opportunities but I didn't find anything shouting 'buy me' on this occasion.
