I am so sad they closed the Skye Serpentarium. A friend of mine who was terrified of snakes held a snake here and got rid of her fear. Lovely spot for reptile lovers alike!

A room full of wonderful creatures. Thoroughly enjoyed by my family. However, my grandmother who lives on the island has said it is being closed for new office space. Boo!

We popped into here before we left Skye and I am so glad we did. The kids loved it and even got to hold a snake! It is a shame that it is closing as it is a nice attraction on Skye.

The children really love this attraction and we have been 3 times now. The staff are very knowledgeable and shelter reptiles and amphibians that have been confiscated by customs. They talk a lot about the care the animals need and take time to explain the individual stories behind each of the animals they look after. They offer you the chance... More

Stopped in by here on a recent trip to Skye, am glad that we did. Its not a big place by any means, but a very interesting visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the reptiles there, and it does house a lot of reptiles for its size, so the £4.50 (adult) entrance fee is worth it. I'm... More

This was a great experience. The staff were very knowledgable and friendly. It is small, so you can walk round it in seconds. I would recommend that you take your time and ask the staff any questions you might have.

This zoo is a herpetologist's (reptiles & amphibians) dream, but still fascinating for the lay person. I need to state that the zoo is closing forever in about 5 weeks (October 2015) due to lack of funding. It is a bit out of the way & does not look much from the outside. We decided to give it a go... TBH, the kids desperately wanted to come here, but we were pleasantly surprised by the amazingly knowledgeable and funny staff member who we got all to ourselves as we were there at 10am as the doors opened! Learnt lots about all sorts of different reptiles and even got to hold a snake! Brilliant. Highly recommended not only for itself but... More

A small well loved and cherished place with very friendly, helpful staff. No question was too silly or obvious-they had the time for you whatever you wanted to know! Really enthusiastic staff and calm snakes that allowed us to handle them which was a first for many! Watching the snakes was mesmerizing to see how they moved! We came in... More

We visited on a quiet day and were rewarded with a very informative commentary through each of the cases containing the reptiles we were viewing. The information given was detailed and humorous and added to the experience. Highlight was holding the snake
