About an hour trip from other ferry port in Mull. Such a fantastic trip through the hardscape of Scotland. Sheep and Woolly coos abound and the trip is leisurely since many of the roads are one lane. Going both ways though this boat port were...More

Stayed in Kilchoan for a week and used the ferry over to Mull on three separate occasions, but only as a foot passenger. Always on time and weather was kind so the crossings were lovely. Saw a seal on one occasion pop its head up...More

Would highly recommend a visit to Mull from Oban on the ferry. Beautiful crossing, only about 45-50 minutes. So much to do in Mull. Take a car and go on a road trip - the South of the island is beautiful!

We used these ferries couple of times. Coming from Oban to Craignure, to get us to the Isle of Mull, so we could get to the tip and take another Ferry (no reservations, passengers only, about a 15 minute trip) to the Isle of Iona....More

This is a much larger enterprise than first impressions. The vessel 'Isle of Mull' is also bigger than you would imagine, taking lorries and coaches as well as foot passengers. The cafeteria provided hot meals or self-serve drinks. Well organised, faultless, smooth.

We would happily use this service again. It is easy to book online and it is advisable to book as it does get busy at the height of the season. Boarding is simple. You just join the queue and follow directions onto the ferry. There...More

Booked a round trip online and printed our own tickets at home. Boarding was easy and we found seats on an upper deck inside with great picture windows allowing us to view the spectacular scenery en route. Food was available at a reasonable price. Overall...More

We took Cal Mac ferries several times on our recent trip to Scotland. We enjoyed every trip. It was fun to watch the scenery and be relieved of having to be "on point" for getting yourself from one place to another. Everyone was friendly and...More

The best ferry is Oban to Craignure then drive across the island to Fionport. It's a lovely drive but make sure you allow plenty of time.
