Sea Life Surveys, established over 30 years ago in 1982, was the first and is now the most experienced whale watching, porpoise, shark and dolphin watching, marine survey, and education programme in the UK. Establishing the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust in 1992, Sea Life Surveys is still actively conducting a research programme focused on the Minke whale and contributing directly to marine conservation.

Great trip with these guys in early May. Knowledgable and friendly guides, and we saw tons of seabirds and four minke whales. The 6 hour trip is great value, and the boat is excellent.

First the weather - wall to wall blue skies, although a bit chilly when sailing into the stiff breeze. However, that is not unexpected and everyone had come prepared. The Sealife crew are first class and full marks to Richie for his commentary and for...More

We enjoyed our day out with Sea Life Surveys. The crew took a lot of time to look out for birds and whales. We saw harbour porpoise, seals and a minke whale plus many sea birds - it was early in season so did not...More

We booked the day tour (8 hours). The weather was amazing and the sea was calm. The boat drove the whole way to the Isle of Coll. On our way we saw white tailed eagle sitting on the cliff, seals, guillimot, arctic terns, shags, gannets...More

We went on the 4 hour trip on a sunny day . The leaflet said to take warm clothing but should have suggested waterproofs as I ended up absolutely soaked ! It didn't spoil the experience though and we ended up seeing dolphins playing alongside...More

OK, it's easy to write a rave review when you've seen close up Basking Sharks, Common Dolphins bow-riding the boat, lots of porpoises, Otters and Sea Eagles, but those things are not in the gift of the organisation, so what makes this company so good...More

If you have never done one of these before, pack plenty to eat, clothes for all weather and sun screen. It might be worth taking travel sickness pills too as many on our trip were quite poorly and it would be a shame to have...More

There was a lady in a wheelchair on our trip and the guys on the boat were really helpful and looked after her, made sure she could see what was going on, and that she had a good as trip as everybody else.
