For nearly 200 years a small team of dedicated islanders have worked here to create what is considered to be the most distinctive single malt in the world. Of course over time the people change, but our traditional methods, the ancient skills and absolute dedication to quality always remains. We would be proud if you make the journey to visit our home and you will be assured of the warmest of welcomes when you do.

I’ve been here twice already, and Laphroaig is always pleased me with happiness and satisfaction. Had some wee taste of old Laphroaig which were fantastic! Special mention about my previous tour guide David who works for Laphroaig for over 40 years as a tour guide!...More

Honestly, Laphroaig is one of the few whiskies I really cannot drink. However, this has no bearing on the experience I had when visiting and the whole thing was excellent. David, our guide, was absolutely magnificent. Nothing beats experience and it really was a pleasure...More

This is another beautiful distillery in Islay. Definitely a must visit in Islay with beautiful surroundings and tasty whiskies. Will return if ever go back to Islay/Scotland.

We went for a tasting of the whisky that makes up the select. Very inforamative about the different styles and tastes. It was a very slick commercial operation, with the additional option to don a pair of boots to find "your plot of land" in...More

After meeting our guide in the pub the night before, we were excited to visit the distillery and it exceeded all our expectations. The tour was great - especially seeing the maltings. After the tour, we enjoyed some extremely special whisky and a few coffees,...More

The staff is amazingly friendly. We missed the tour because wet walked in the rain and it took longer than expected. The whiskey was vey good. Less Smokey than others. If you're from USA you'll probably relate it more to our whiskeys.

Visiting the Laphroaig distillery is like a pilgrimage for some, for others it is simply a day out. Whatever your motivation I would recommend a visit here at some point while you are on Islay.

Flybe is the plane company that services Islay. It really depends on the flight times available. You'll probably have to arrive one day and leave the next.
