Gives an old town feeling, as do the local shops on the high street although this is of interest as cast iron foundry museum piece in good condition.

Well looked after and a great feature on the Bridge of Allan main street. Being designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson it has national significance.

This well known clock and fountain was erected in the memory of local Doctor Alexander Paterson who died in 1898 the memorial was publicly funded the year he died . Cast in the Saracen Foundry in Glasgow this was one of Alexander ‘Greek” Thomson's designs...More
