This is an art piece celebrating local geology and history. It was built recently and is worth a visit. We walked up from near the station and then walked back the circular route. Not too far but very steep especially at the beginning.

I can't really give this 5 stars, as it is only a stone Labyrinth (not actually a maze). Basically lots of stones in a specific pattern. Having said that it is very interesting and it is made up of lots of different ancient stones found...More

We parked the car half way up the hill and walked the rest. Over a stile and you are n the forest. A short walk along and you arrive at these amazing stones. Great views from here too, so take a camera.

It's less than a mile from the car park at Blackmuir Wood on a good path that climbs gently through the fringe of the wood to the so-called maze. It's not actually a maze, but a path winding through an installation of 81 large geological...More

After quite a long walk from Strathpeffer, passing through lovely scenery, it was quite a surprise to see, in a clearing, a labyrinth of ancient stones arranged so that the visitor is able to walk around the path and touch all the stones in the...More

It’s a bit of a hike up to see this if you’re not a walker as the hill is fairly steep but the views are good when you get there. The stones are interesting to look at as they come from different geological periods. A...More

This is not an actual Maze, but a multi ring of large rocks from all over Scotland, we visited during a long morning hike from Strathpeffer.

It's not a maze! But it's a lovely walk up quite a steep hill (we did have the worst weather with driving rain and wind which didn't help). The information board is very interesting. It was also very easy to find so I couldn't understand...More

Neat little place to visit that we were not expecting. Each stone is from a different region of Scotland and from a different geological time. Interesting and great hike. Easy too!
