- Hilary k8 contributionsMagic visit- very friendly welcome and beauty to see and buy! This little gallery is in the most stunning location and contains amazing panoramic views. They can be printed in any size and framed as you wish. WE bought one with a larch prame ( from local fence posts) and it was delivered to our home free of charge. Highly recommended! We are really grateful for you feedback and are so glad that you had a good experience with us here at the gallery. We would love to see where you have decided to put your larch post framed canvas in your home so if you would like to send us a photo via our email or social media then we would love to see! Thanks for being a valued customer and we hope to see you in the gallery again soon.Written September 15, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 12, 2024
- Helen A7 contributionsCaptivating visit that made our day!Absolutely captivating visit to this gallery. It was wonderful to meet photographer, Jack Marris, to hear his personal story and learn about the amazing lengths he goes to to capture his stunning images of the Scottish Highlands. We also loved adding to his socials totals; you’ll have to visit to see what I mean! This unplanned trip really made our day!Thank you for your lovely review, we are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us learning about Jack's story. - Gavin ENantwich, United Kingdom1 contributionA must if you're travelling the NC500 - don't miss this gem!Amazing pictures and interesting stories, well worth a visit. If you are travelling the NC 500 this is a must place to drop into - before or after you've crossed Bealach na BÃ . We visited in May 2023 and purchased the Shieldaig view as we had walked it a few days earlier. The gallery newsletter then came trumps a couple of weeks ago, when I saw new Glencoe picture that would be perfect as a wedding present. As we live almost 500 miles away, Jack went out of his way to ensure the package arrived on time. A bonus was the fact that the image had the peak on which the happy couple got engaged! Result all round and we're very grateful. If you get the chance go and have a coffee here. You'll be blown away by the pictures and the story of the gallery's establishment is one most landscape loving photographers can only dream of. :-)Thank you so much for your kind words and we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to us here at the gallery! We always want to do the most we can to ensure that you have a positive experience and it is wonderful to know that our efforts are worth it- that is such a beautiful story! - LindaKelso, United Kingdom4 contributionsAn outstanding collection of some of the most beautiful views from the area. Well worth a visit. We have visited Jack's gallery for the last 4 years on trips to the area and it's great to see his business growing. He has an amazing eye for the perfect shot and puts in a lot of effort to bring some of the most amazing views to life. Beautifully framed with Larch from original deer fencing, the results are outstanding! Our home is never without his calendar too, it gives us a year to decide which picture will be next to grace our home. A must visit if you are in the area, or online if you're not.Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so grateful for your support over the years and that you continue to revisit the gallery. Your feedback means a lot to us and motivates us to keep doing our best. We look forward to seeing you again next year and hope you enjoy the photos in the calendar in the meantime!Written September 15, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 9, 2024

We walked here from Applecross and arrived very soggy from the pouring rain. The free coffee was very welcome and we met the framer as well as the very talented photographer. Still trying to decide which ones to buy and whether to go for frames made from locally sourced reclaimed wood.

Wandered up the road from Applecross following the signs for the gallery and after about a mile and a half of glorious walking I came upon Jack Maris's gallery ... in the middle of nowhere.
As a photographer myself I was so happy to find a like minded person making a living from landscape photography in one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever come across.
The North West of Scotland has to be seen to be believed and Applecross is in the heart of it. A truly astounding location and Jack's photography does it justice.
Hi gallery is warm and friendly and the prints (most often on canvas) are really well executed and framed.
If you're in the Highlands on holiday, stop taking amateur snaps, go and buy one of Jack's prints, put it on the wall at home and relive the beauty of Scotland every day.
Well done Jack and I wish you much success.

We called in on the recommendation of our landlady. It’s a beautiful gallery - open every day and serves free coffee! The lovely lady who was working there gave us insight, local knowledge and advice. Really nice chat and the photography is just beautiful.

We got it as a gift: an aerial photography of our house and garden. Felix came with his drone and took the most amazing photos. Then we visited his gallery to decide which photos to enlarge and print. On both occasions it was a pleasure to work with Jack and the results are so beautiful and will find a place of pride on our wall. But besides all that, even a short visit to his gallery is a treat. He is an excellent photographer and his technical standard and equipment allows him to do really amazing things. (And the coffee is good as well.)
