We decided to take this road from Fort Augustus along the south side of Loch Ness to get to Inverness. What a lovely road with stunning views of Loch Ness! It was fairly quiet and was single track with passing places for a lot of...More

But the views are amazing and well worth the effort. It is like another world especially in the wonderful sunshine we were very lucky to have for this time of the year. Stopped at Foyers for the Falls, views, a walk, good coffee and food....More

With magnificent views at almost every turn , breathtaking vistas from vantage points , and some spectacular falls to visit , this road is a must for driving enthusiasts. It takes the other side of Loch Ness from the A82 , going from Fort Augustus...More

Great road - nice and twisty with superb views. Took in a walk down to the Foyers falls too. Can’t fault it. Pretty please - can motor homes please stay away?

Travelled along the south shore of Loch Ness on one of these roads to get to Foyers and Inverfarigaig. Wonderful scenery and very little traffic as it a little of the beaten track. Road is well maintained.

Keep this route to yourself otherwise it will become as busy as the A82!!!! We use the road all the time when travelling to Inverness

This road gives a much better view over Loch Ness than the main A82 on the opposite side. Make sure you take the road through Foyers rather than the better one which bypasses it. The bends in the road with passing places mean that it...More

Views are breathtaking. We visited in snowy December so the roads were not at their best. This in itself enhanced the experience. The views across the snowy landscape were amazing. If you do not think that we humans are just specks on this earth then...More

Hi.....we can’t remember exactly, but think if you drive non stop it would be 40-45 minutes. It’s not very far and it’s a nice alternative to the busy road on the other side of Loch Ness.

Absolutely. I am not a biker but the road is infinitely more suited to motorcycles than cars in a lot of places. The road is mostly single track with passing places so care is needed at most times. Hope this helps.
