This is a 5 star visitor attraction and retail complex. Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 6s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch's very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as "A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness". We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site.

A good exhibit, with a well layed out timeline of events surrounding the myth, however fairly old and low-budget seeming. Seemed a bit too expensive for the low quality presentation. Info was good, aesthetic less so. Staff very friendl

Visited as it seemed the main visitor attraction formally a hotel looks impressive from the outside, Overall not too bad. But the coffee shop was awful staff ignored us, seemed too busy sitting having their own coffee. When we did get served the pancakes were stale and inedible. We were warned against the other place further along, so I can... More

Many thanks for your review. I am delighted that you enjoyed the exhibition, and thought our beautiful old building was impressive. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with the café. We lease the café to Cobbs and so I'm afraid don't have any control over the freshness of their products or customer service. I'm sure though that this... More

A factual review of evidence placed within the context of the Loch. Five or six scenes which discuss what has been found out over the years. Succinct and reasonably priced

Enjoyed our tour with George Edwards and the amazing history of this area. He gave a great commentary & history. He sounds just like Sean Connery too. Scottish Highland area is not to be missed!!!!

I'm sure this is a hit with tourists but this is overpriced and very old fashioned for people today. It consists of 6 rooms with grainy video and could really do with being dragged into the present with interactive things for kids to do. The parking is up hill and no supporting handrails for those with difficulty walking

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry if you thought our video was grainy, this is the problem with archive footage, its old, we can't re-film it all I'm afraid as we can't recreate history. You seem to have missed all the original equipment that's been used to look for the monster and everything else that we've found in the... More

Went today with two boys 8 & 11 settings in each room was quite interesting. Nice display. Thought the price was reasonable just over £20 for four of us. Quite informative, probably not suitable for very young children.

Thank you for leaving us a review and taking the time to come to Trip Advisor. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the exhibition and found it interesting, informative and that we had nice displays. This is basically a half hour video tour, set in 5 different well dramatised rooms, of the history of the legend of The Loch Ness Monster. Basically it just about completely rules our the possibility of there being a monster, for which I praise its candour! Enjoyable, but a realtively short experience.

Many thanks for your review and for taking the time to come to Trip Advisor and leave it for us. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the exhibition. We do actually have six dramatized rooms and then the seventh room is our archive area and although the first six are audio guided theres nothing to stop you from repeating the experience... More

This is an interesting place to visit. doesn't take that long to go through the exhibits do some might consider it a bit pricey but they do accept tesco vouchers. I learned some very interesting facts here and it's no wonder they can't find nessie when you realise just how big the loch is. Very nice surrounding area.

At first this seems like your usual road side tourist attraction. And it has a lot of the same things you see at these sorts of places. But it does go through the history of the Loch Ness monster and is very honest about all of the fakery. It was an interesting look into the area for anyone who has... More

Our family group included three kids aged 9,11 and 14 who really enjoyed the exhibition, as much as we did. It was informative and interesting. No matter whether you are a believer in Nessie or a cynic it gave a very balanced view to which you can make up your own mind on the mystery. Full of interesting facts on... More
