Spectacular golf with equally spectacular views make this my number 1 choice for golf in Scotland. It was not as pretentious as most of the other "Royals", even those older than Royal Dornoch. The obvious "con" is the somewhat remoteness of the location. However, Graham and Peter in the Pro Shop helped me when my GPS ("SAT/NAV") seemed to be... More

The course lives up to its reputation and history as a true challenge of golf with amazing views and friendly pro shop and starter staff. Unfortunately the experience was tainted by a frosty reception both before and after our round by the catering who really couldn't give us the time of day.

This is and always has been one of the best golf courses in the world and it really was a pleasure to play. The wee Struie course is fun and still a challenge but when you stand on the 1st tee of the championship course you knees will knock. A truly fantastic golf course with sublime subtleties, just when you... More

From the minute you arrive everything about Royal Dornoch is classy - and not in a stuffy golf club way that might be befitting of somewhere steeped in as much history as this place, but in a down to earth classy way. The golf is a stern a test as you will find anywhere but brings you on a roller... More

To be able to play the Links at Dornoch is a life enhancing experience! From the start of the visit, in the Professional's shop, to meeting the Starter in his Kilt at the first tee, then at the end of the round, to relax in the lovely Clubhouse......it is entirely a pleasure. Every person associated with this Golf Club is... More

A true links course that has fantastic views, a variety of holes with some elevation changes and some of the best par 3's I've ever played. All the caddies are also members of the club. This added a lot to our experience because they are not only knowledgeable but also very proud of their club. We satyed at the hotel... More

probably the best links golf course in Scotland. The course can be a challenge when the wind blows but the scenic surroundings and amazing variety of fairways and greens make this course a must for any golfer of all handicaps

What a fantastic experience Royal Dornoch is. The golf courses are quite simply stunning, with staff who are so helpful and friendly. We also ate in the clubhouse a couple of times and can't praise the staff enough. The food was excellent and a great way to finish the golfing day.

One of the most stunning golf courses in the world. The small town of Dornoch and surrounding district is also very pretty and it has a good selection of resturants
