Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1886, this challenging, historic course has spectacular views of the North Sea and goes almost straight out and straight back, with the angle changing subtly at each hole.

Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Dornoch. First, the course is superb. Challenging. Rewarding of good shots. #2 (a par 3) is referred to as "the shortest par 5 on the planet." And it is. The pro shop is efficient and well stocked. The bar and restaurant...More

We golfed the Struie Course at Royal Dornoch as there were no tee times available at the championship course. The Struie course should not be overlooked as it is challenging in its own right. One benefit of golfing Struie is it is much less crowded,...More

I played twice and both days it was quite windy. The fairways on the course were quite easy and I didn't loose a single ball, but the greens were tough to read. There is a lot of brambles so if your ball does go astray...More

We played Royal Dornoch for the second time yesterday. The temperature was 45F and the wind about 20+ mph, so it was testy. This is one of my top 5 courses in the world and it was great again. The views are outstanding as you...More

There are several members at Royal Dornoch who are also keen fishermen. Best advice would be to ask the ladies in the administration office who might be able to put you in touch

I would recommend one round on the championship course and play the second round at Brora.
