I booked two private1.5h ski lessons at the weekend there & I can honestly say from the start of the process to the end of the process it was 5*. The first huddle the snow factory team overcame was searching for my vouchers that were bought before & during COVID 19, although this took a little bit of time it was handled in a professional manor by the call handler.
The first lesson - Lucy the instructor talked me through my equipment & asked about my experience which was zero. She explained what my hour & a half looked liked then took me on the snow to speak about the fundamentals of skiing & the environment that I found myself in. The lesson went well, I enjoyed it from start to finish & if I’m being honest I didn’t want to come off the slope.
The second lesson - I decided to complete my second lesson the following day giving me every chance of using what I had learned from lesson 1 in lesson two. Gav was my instructor for lesson two. Gav came up & introduced himself, he sat down & listened to my experience from the day before then again he told me what to expect within my lesson. We warmed up first like we did in lesson 1 then Gav took me straight to what I had finished on in lesson 1. We completed that task several times with a little coaching then Gav stated that I was now in what they call level 4 & we would be progressing to the bigger slope, firstly mastering the ski lift.
I won’t bore you with the rest, however I was very impressed with both Lucy & Gav’s energy, communication skills & patients. They are a credit to the company they work for & I would recommend completing the individual lessons, especially the 1.5h lessons as it flys by.
On a side note, the experienced skiers get out the way of us learners & give us space to practice our drills so a little smile, thank you & letting them go first always helps & goes a long way.
Great two days, fantastic environment & cannot wait to go back to practice.
Lucy/Gav Thank You So Much, it’s much appreciated.

I started boarding last January with snow factors very own instructors and available skills lessons to help me for when i was going to Austria the following month.
The instructors knew we had to learn fast and gave us a lot of helpful tips to get us to a reasonable standard.
Now we really enjoy going to snow factor every other week to try an keep ontop of learning to snowboard, try new trix and keep our confidence levels up.
The morning deals are fantastic prices and the variety of different classes throughout the week are exceptionally beneficial for all levels of boarders / skiers.
I would definitely recommend snow factor for any type of person / group wanting to have a funfilled day out in the indoor snow 🙂

Level 1 beginners snowboarding for 7-12 year olds, instructor Cameron was very helpful and patient. Would recommend this activity for parents wishing to give their children a chance to try snowboarding in the comfort of an indoor arena. A better introduction to the sport with good instruction without the bracing conditions a trip to Glenshee can often bring.

Booked a private skiing lesson for my two kids (11&13) They went from complete beginners to being able to ski from the top of the small slope in just 1 hour. Their instructor Ian was fantastic, good fun and explained everything really clearly and in a way they could easily understand, allowing them to progress quickly. He was really positive and encouraging of them. The kids loved it and can’t wait to go back and learnt a lot in just an hour.

We visited on Friday 17th at 1:20pm for Santa in the snow, and had a fantastic time. I really couldn't recommend it enough. We had Brian who was great with our little one in the snow play area. Then the best santa I've ever seen, he really made a huge effort to make our 17 month old feel relaxed as he was a bit unsure, and we all really enjoyed the experience, especially the cookie and hot chocolate. Will definitely be back next year.

Outstanding ski instructor, I feel I learned so much in such a short space of time. I am an adult semi-beginner and I found John C to be very skilled and highly patient with a calm manner that made my skiing experience very enjoyable.
The session was great fun I felt safe and in control of my skis at all times, John helped push me to new limits today and I feel my skiing abilities have definitely improved. I've booked in again next week for my next level. I can't wait!

My wife bought me a one-to-one 60min snowboarding lesson for my 40th birthday and it was the most fun I have had in a long time!
Patsy my instructor was patient, funny, kind, reassuring and really put me at ease. It was at 17:00 on a Sunday so the slopes were fairly quiet, my other half was able to enjoy the bar / restaurant and take some videos of my experience. Had the biggest grin on my face all the way home. Will definitely be going back!

Had a fantastic private 2 hour group snowboarding lesson with James. 4 out of 5 us had no prior snowboarding experience and he had us all confident on the slope by the end of the 2 hour session. A very patient and observant teacher, James knew exactly how to push each of us to get the most out of the experience.
The venue itself was also excellent, we can’t wait to get back on the slopes for more snowboarding!

I visited Snow Factor for snowboard lessons last month, at first I was taking group lessons but I was always falling behind the rest of the group. This was leaving me feeling disheartened so I decided to try a private lesson. Snowboard instructor James was recommended to me and I can't praise him highly enough! Now I'm extremely clumsy and can't stay on my feet at the best of times. In one lesson, James had taught me everything I wasn't able to do before and I left feeling accomplished and very happy. Unfortunately, the poma and myself are agreeing to disagree but I will be back!

If purchasing a unlimited day ski pass, can you stop for a break and visit the cafe and then return and ski again, can you leave the ski's etc in locker?

You can ski right upto the entrance to bar/restaurant 😀, leave your skis there and in you go, plus if you just get a pass for a couple of hours they will stamp your pass to allow you to eat or drink and not loose your skiing time!
I can recommend the footlong German sausage 😀, and the many nice beers....ask for a taste before you buy

If you go on the website you can get lift passes in hourly blocks, they also do full day passes. Make sure to check there isn't any restrictions on the slope the day you plan to go - specific classes/lessons on at certain times of the day

Hi, we love Snowfactor but need to find a quicker/cheaper public transport route from Edinburgh/Glasgow Queen Street - please can you advise?
We searched Googlemaps and came up with the Clyde Flyer (901, 906, 907) or McGill's 26 (£9 each way for 1 adult and 2 young people) or the First Bus 77. Any alternative suggestions, eg rail, other buses, would be most welcome - thank you

On the board in a day lessons, do you get regular breaks? What level of fitness is required?
Kat_Dickson
Glasgow, UK3 contributions
Hi Kel,
You'll have a 15-20 minute break in the morning, a lunch break and then another 15-20 minute break in the afternoon. The board in a day lesson is physically demanding as you will be using lots of muscles your body is not used to using. If you are worried about fitness level, you could always opt for our 4-hour fast track lessons. I hope this helps! Best, Kathleen ( Marketing Assistant at Snow Factor )
