Good Coffee and Cake

Wonderful choice of cakes and excellent coffee. Nice to sit outside also. Nice situation and good to have the bookshop incorporated.

Not sure where you would park as we walked there. There is a car park up from the Co-Op. A park for the kids to let off steam is at the bottom of the street. Very lovely building with a café on the bottom floor with the sports books. Art gallery on the top floor with a shelf of art... More

Had seen some good reviews but did not live up to expectation. Our food was very ordinary for an extraordinary price. We do not mind paying extra for quality and expect to, but our experience was a massive disappointment. Service was non existent and by the time our coffee arrived at the table, it was tepid. The loos were also... More

This place is great if you like books. The kids section was particularly nice and really excellent books in there. Other than that there's not much to offer. The coffee shop/restaurant seemed really popular though.

I visit the Watermill bookshop and cafe every year when we visit the local area. It's a quirky, one of a kind bookshop with some stunning books on display from every genre.

Fantastic book shop that we spent ages in wandering around looking at everything. Quaint coffee shop downstairs which was good, nice cakes and coffee and table service. Toilets a bit grubby and smelly - need cleaned more and a couple of nice air fresheners.

I thought 'river views' were promised from the road sign they have, but the Watermill is set up from the river unfortunately, so not the nice outlook I'd hoped for. Maybe I misread it. Parking was a bit of a nightmare though got in eventually round the back. Very friendly place though, some nice cakes(no scones) and good coffee.Small inside... More

As a local I visit the Watermill for coffee at least once a week and enjoy it's relaxed atmosphere and helpful and friendly staff. Last week I visited with a couple of friends who were staying with me for a short break. The extremely heavy rain showers meant that we were trapped in the shop for longer than expected but... More
