Loads to do and large area to walk and explore, plenty of wild life and things for kids to discover and play upon, big theme park rides and local places to snack or eat

We have this beautiful park on our doorstep and it's amazing! We watched the triathalon for the commonwealth games here and have seen many sports events as well. There are lots of play parks for kids, walking and running trails, a water sports centre, cafe, small beach, water sports at certain times and beautiful surroundings! And it's free!!!! Love love... There is a nice lake to wander around (takes about 1 1/2 hours at a moderate pace), some beautiful scenery and hopefully some wildlife on show. Often the lake is used for water sports which can be pleasant to watch. A small café is sometimes open, but otherwise there are no facilities.

Walkers ,Joggers cyclists Paradise and dog walkers . What a great facility for watersports we stood and watched the skulling 4 man crews going by . Picnic tables round the loch and a dingy plying back and forward We were told the walk is nearly 7 kilometres on good hard pavement

Beautiful view from our hotel. Walked to Roman bridge and baths in the morning before breakfast. Such a peaceful location in the heart of Lanarkshire. Great for walks and jogging.

This afternoon 05.03.2017 the place was busy but nothing seems to be going on the water anymore no fun things for the kids, they could be doing with a snack van or something on the nice days

I go here often just to walk around the lake, beautiful scenery and some wildlife on show if you are lucky enough to see it.

As a family we often walk round Strathy its quite a pleasent walk round the loch its easy to forget your smack bang in the middle of the central belt region. There is a small cafe offering basic but half decent light lunches and snacks.

The park is a great space, and if you've only got a hour or so, it's well worth walking around the loch. The website says 1.5 to 2 hours, but this depends on your walking speed (I managed around 1 hour). The walk is all on good paths and can be completed by everyone of any ability (just might take...
