My cousins were up from England and l was looking for a Distillery experience for them, looking through all the local ones, some were charging ridiculous prices so we were pleased to see that Glen Grant charged just £7.50 for a 40 minute tour plus tasting, which suited them as non Whisky drinkers that wanted to know the process. Kirsty was our Guide who led us around with an obvious passion for her job, answering any questions we had . She gave clear information and allowed us to go at a steady pace to take it all in. The place was spotless , the gardens full of Autumn colour. All in all it was a fantastic experience for them . l would highly recommend this friendly local tour to people that want to know how our Malts are made. Keep up the good work Glen Grant ...and thank you.

We were looking for a local distillery to visit and picked this one because of a combination of location, the garden and price. Maybe not as well known as some other brands, but the organisation of the tour and the tour itself were excellent. Shirley was our guide and made the tour really interesting and her delivery meant we could hear every word. We enjoyed the whisky tasting and the stories that went with it. We then wondered up to visit the garden which is well worth while and a most unusual addition to a distillery tour! Highly recommended.

To visit the gardens is free and worth the walk.
What beautiful manicured gardens and walks … spending a nice time in this green surrounding is extremely peaceful and refreshing.
We also visited the distillery.
Free for under 18.
You get to taste 2 samples of whisky at the end of the visit.
Very well explained visit. We knew nothing and are now experts 😁.

We’ve been to a quite a few distilleries in Scotland and wanted to try something different. Glen Grant’s big selling point I think is it’s lovely gardens, which were particularly pretty in Autumn. The tour itself was good as well, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I appreciated the straightforward answers about the production process. A great experience, overall.

Good price at £7.50 for the hour whisky tour with two tasting and access to the nice garden. Weather wasn't that sunny but sure it would be beautiful in a good day. A small group for the tour. The shop was great and sales are on now so got a few bargains. We also have discount for the new whisky that isn't on market yet. Very pleased on the day at Glen Grant!

We had a lovely visit and the staff there were terrific. It certainly is, as others have previously described, pretty.
However, we had the need to write and follow up something after our visit and so used the online contact form. Only to find that this goes to head office of Campari in the USA who do nothing and have no personal touch (all they did was say email another address - they don't' deal with anything outside the US). That really has blighted the experience of Glen Grant.
There are so many wonderful, small and family or small company run distilleries in the area we will be checking out the About sections and ensuring our money goes to support them going forward and avoid wherever possible these large soulless and un customer service friendly corporations

We did not take the tour, but simply popped in for a minute to the shop. Beautiful grounds. Seemed clean with plenty of business. Helpful sales staff and some interesting items for sale. Enjoyed the whisky that we bought.

A very helpful lady called Anna, helped us sort out samples, then purchases. She explained the outdoor coffee area. It was all very pleasant.
So on the way out we thought we would have a quick look at the garden / woodland walk. Wow.
This is something we have not seen at any other distillery. Well worth doing. In fact well worth visiting the distillery for. The only wrinkle was I had bought 2 bottles from the shop, which I then carried round with me.
The only other wrinkle was the 2 bottles didn't last very long, we just kept drinking it. But maybe that is the point

We really enjoyed our trip around the garden. The Distillery had great resources to help keep the kids entertained as we walked around. They loved searching for the different animals. Staff were very helpful. Will return soon. Gardens are beautiful.

the staff was great, the grounds were unbelievable!
we got to the distillery at opening hours, and they immediately were there to welcome us to a tour that started in a half hour. so they encouraged us to walk the grounds. ok, sounds good. we started walking and i kept taking pics, and the grounds kept sprawling beautiful gardens, little bridges and beautiful waterways. we saw a deer scamper away. we wanted to keep walking, but our tour was going to start, so we retraced our steps back. (give yourself at least an hour to enjoy it all!)
our tour guide was a sweet girl who had much family history in GlenGrant, and very knowledgeable of the scotch process for her young age! she answered all of our questions without a hitch. distillery wasn't really "in-progress" at the time, but still, the place was spotless.
at the end we received 2 drams of scotch, but my husband (since he was driving) couldn't drink it, so we brought with us 2 little glass vials to take it with us (as they charge for them if you don't have it).
So glad we made it!

Hi Maureen,

Yes Lan Grant is open on Sundays at this time of the year and the last tour is 4:00pm. I did it recently and strongly recommend.
Cheers - Alastair.
