A splendid Castle and a must see, beautiful grounds and full of magnificence inside. Fine porcelain, ivories, silverware! The furniture is well kept and the history well explained! It has to be one of the greatest kept castles with beautiful possessions I have seen.
I stopped off here briefly on my bike before tackling the up-and-over back to Brodick. Quite a photogenic castle set in the bay with surrounding hills - taking a camera advised.

It's worth a drive especially if you're popping in to the distillery.
It is just ruins, but there are signs to explain its history.

Lovely little pit stop while driving around the island. Benches to look out to sea and it appeared that some very inconsiderate people had stopped there for a picnic judging by the rubbish they left lying!
