2 night stay in the spa leisure resort. Stayed in room 314 and it was lovely and spacious with an extremely comfy bed. We had access to a lounge area with snacks and juice ect and also access to the hot tub area which was a real treat. Most staff were friendly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and I must say it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, so much choice and the food was all fresh! We also ate in the cruise restaurant for dinner one evening which was also nice. Drinks are quite expensive but we expected that anyway. The swimming pool in both the spa area and hotel area were extremely clean and had a nice relaxing feel to them. The only downside I would say to the room was there wasn’t any bath creams which was a disappointment considering how welcoming the bathroom looks and it would also be amazing if these rooms had there own balcony or sitting area. We would definitely return to this resort though and did try to stay an extra night but unfortunately couldn’t change our ferry due to it being fully booked. Thanks for the break away we needed.

Really enjoyable, very comfortable

We stayed here one night as a reward for dragging the kids up goatfell. We found the room very comfortable and spacious. The service everywhere was brilliant. The breakfast in the morning was also great. We’d definitely stay here again.

Return visit never fails to disappoint!
We have returned from another amazing break at the resort which never fails to disappoint on any front. On our anniversary evening we dined at Brambles and the staff made us feel very special, the celebration dessert platter was a special touch. ASPA Spa day we had was fantastic, the best massage we've had and the lunch with bubbles was lovely. We used the Gym/Leisure facilities daily during our 4 day stay which were first class. Everything about this resort is first class and TBH I was a little reluctant to post a review as I want to keep the resort a secret. We love this place and can't wait to return next year for our 19th anniversary.

Great swimming pool
Came here for a swim as we do every year. Historically the resort has allowed public to use both swimming pools, however this year only the main swimming pool was open, the second one was residents only. Naturally we were a touch disappointed, however understanding.

We went to try and get into the main swimming pool but unfortunately as it isn’t huge, it was full to capacity and we were told we would have to come back. Unfortunately the man on the reception was fairly abrupt and came across as a touch rude.

We went upstairs and had a coffee which was nice as always, before returning downstairs for the pool. This time there was enough room so we were allowed in. The man on the reception was the same one as before, and came across as flustered and very confused about what entry fees we each had to pay (despite it simply being one of each). As a result, without exaggerating, it took at least 5 minutes to simply pay - which should take 30 seconds.

Fortunately, the pool was still enjoyable, despite being busy, and we all left feeling happy.

Visited here both while staying at Auchrannie and staying elsewhere. The pool becomes very very busy at times and can become a free for all.

The cost of a swim for people who are not staying has increased hugely. £18 to swim for two people, then your £10 deposit which you do get back. Why a towel charge and a deposit?!

Disappointed
Went to this spa for a day. Must have been perhaps the worse facial I have ever had. The therapist constantly bumped the bed every time she rose off her stool, which seemed to be every time she change a lotion. Therapist was very young and seemed inexperienced. Pool was full of schoolchildren. Lunch was taken in the main reception lobby. Was very disappointed in the whole set up. Not to be recommended I'm afraid.

Nice pool, lovely kids pool and great sauna and steam room, well worth the £5.50 if you need a couple of hours of pure relaxation. Remember and take a towel if you are not staying as they charge £2 to hire.

Great Facilities Friendly staff clean pool

Whilst I stayed in Arran me and my friends visited the Leisure centre and went swimming and enjoyed a foot spa. The staff were friendly and overall we had a great time

Used the facilities here twice.

Beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean. 20m pool which was little used. Good sauna and sanarium.

Strange foot spas which were neither use nor ornament. A hot tub/ jacuzzi would have been nice.

Nice towels, great showers and body wash/ shampoo. Lockers need a £1 coin. Good cubicles for changing in. Hairdryer. And a cozzie spin machine to get the excess wet out of your swimsuit!!

A decent pool for fooling around

Our family with teens joined with some with younger kids to visit the pool. There is a separate small area for young kids - with a great waterfall and a couple of items squirting water that looked fun.

The main area had a lane separated off (wide enough for one going in either direction) and the rest for splashing around. Everything, including the sauna space, was in good repair and the staff were all friendly.

Pleasant enough that if we were in the area again we would certainly consider revisiting.
