If you're stopping at Falkland to take Outlander Photos - make sure you stop here too.. A lovely wee bit of history to fully immerse yourself. Well worth a visit!

At breakfast on our way to Inverness a fellow mentioned we should stop here if we loved history. This town and palace was well with the trip off M8. Cute shops beautiful palace dating back to 1600s . I thought we stepped back in time.

Not sure why this is listed twice. Falkland palace and Falkland palace and gardens are the same place. do visit.

This Palace was renovated by one rich and enthusiastic keeper for approx 100 years ago. The keepers decsendends still live in the palace during the off-seasons, but most of the place is open to visitors during summer. You are not allowed to take pictures inside....More
