Challenging Course
Oct 2021 • Couples
Challenging course in good condition and the clubhouse bar snacks and the restaurant are all first class. All the staff particularly Matt were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Harder than You Think
Oct 2019
I had just arrived by plane and had a bad back so I wont tell you my score (it is not a fair test) but the middle three par three's on this course would challenge Job. Very nice people. Good food. Beautiful views and two of the middle three par three's are the hardest anywhere. I played in late October so the price was phenomenal given the day and the condition of the course.

Great course to visit, highly recommend and The Rockies is a great risk and reward hole! Challenging in places as the wind is ever present and changes direction randomly. All part of the links experience.

Be sure to play a local favorite when visiting Fife

Can't say enough about the folks at Anstruther GC, especially Matt Maclachlan in the pro shop. Wonderful hospitality and a super 9 hole course. A great arrival-day play for visitors to Fife from the USA. Superb sea views and a challenging track. You will do well to par "The Rockies".

Great Golf, great food, friendly people and a restaurant anyone can visit
Feb 2019 • Friends
This is an unusual, scenic and tough wee course. It has a famous hole "the Rockies" which is thought to be one of the toughest holes in the British Isles.

The extra good news, for non-golfers, is the fact The Rockies restaurant is open to visitors. The food in the clubhouse is from "The Rockies restaurant" and as good as you'll get anywhere with friendly service to match.

Green staff terrible
Aug 2018 • Friends
Been coming up to the Pittenweem for years and always enjoyed playing Anstruther Golf Course.
However went to play it this year and was quite surprised that the price for 9 holes for 2 was £58.00. Went out to play and on the 3rd hole the greenkeeper was watering the green. I gestured him to move off the green so that I could play my shot, he ignored me. We had to play onto the green with him standing in the middle of it.
We carried on playing and on the 6th hole which is a par three, the greenkeeper had moved his hose to that green and just left it there. As you can see from the picture my ball got caught up in it.
They have no interest in paying guests and in our opinion are just ripping people off. There are 15 people with us this week, all playing golf. We always play Anstruther, sometimes 3 to 4 times a week. We will not be back due to the money grabbing club who have no idea how to treat paying guests.

Fabulous friendly club

This is a super 9 hole course, wonderful views, very challenging. They are very welcoming to visitors in the clubhouse and the new tee position for hole 3 is an improvement. The course was in superb condition last week in October. We will be back on our next visit to Fife.

Tough little 9 holes when the wind is blowing
Apr 2017 • Couples
Nice little 9 hole course on the coast. Tricky when the wind is blowing, which it was. Short, but worth the visit. Friendly, relaxed club house also has great views across the Firth of Forth.

The Ainster gowf course is only 9 holes so you play it twice. The course is very good and different than most courses. The World famous par 3 "The Rockies" is certainly tough & a par there is almost impossible! There are a few other good holes but you will need decent legs for the hills! Enjoy!
