The East Neuk!
Sep 2014 • Family
This museum is a perfect way to summarize the East Neuk. It reminds me of my heritage and made me think of my grandfather who used to go out to fish from this very spot. And, just a little further up the road was the spot were he made and mended barrels and nets, both of which can be seen in the museum.

Good Information Centre
Apr 2015 • Couples
Friendly, helpful people, a fair selection of maps and books and several really nice souvenirs. It helps that there is a good cafe attached.

We were well received and provided good recommendations as to a Pub that would be enjoyable for our evening drinks and dinner. We found the Dreel Tavern to be a special find!

Anstruther Fisheries Museum
Sep 2013 • Couples
It's been a few years since I visited the Fisheries Museum in Anstruther, although I've visit Anstruther quit often. It's a wonderful fishing village along the coast of Fife. The museum look deceptively small from the outside, but once inside the building itself is quite impressive and the collection of vintage fishing vessels and their gear is even more impressive. There are recreated scenes of life in Anstruther in centuries past, and artifacts galore -- each with a story to tell about the rich history of this wonderful fishing village. It's an easy building to pass by, but I'd highly recommend a visit -- in fact, I think it's time for be to go inside the next time I'm in Anstruther too! Oh -- and one of the UK's top award-winning fish and chips joints is just a few steps away... Anstruther Fish and Chips. Don't miss out on that one either!

We stopped in for a visit and couldn't find a nicer pair of women behind the counter. My wife even found a pretty necklace made from heather. The town is beautiful.

Good advice from the welcoming member of staff who helped us to find places to eat and buy sea food.
