Superb marina and harbour
Sep 2021
Still a working harbour as well as a marina . Packed with boats and yachts it also has the old Reaper fishing vessel which at certain times you can view . The views are very attractive and the long harbour wall is perfect for a stroll . During the season trips to the May island can be arranged . Visiting is better through the week as the weekends are busy

Happy Memories from days gone by.
Jul 2021
Stunning town & harbour with happy memories from when we used to visit the area with our caravan, but unfortunately on this visit we were let down with the amount of rubbish that was laying about. Council litter bins were full and the public toilet facilities were a disgrace, the bins inside the building were bulging with dirty toilet paper and dirty paper towels, my wife also noticed a toilet seat that was broken and then strapped together with what appeared to be 'Duck Tape'. This certainly took the edge off our visit and we would have to think twice about visiting the town again in the future. Such a shame.

Bursting at the seams

This is the largest town on the Neuk. It is always too busy and although nice is not as quaint as the others. Choc full of eateries and pubs, anstruther is tourist heaven. Its very accessible from St Andrews university town and has the royal seal of approval from Wills and Kate. They went there many times whilst studying at St Andrews. The final village Crail will also have to wait for another day.😳

Once Bustling Now Peaceful & Picturesque
Sep 2020 • Family
One of the favourite stop-offs on the Fife Coastal Path, this was once, in its heyday, a bustling fishing port that is now much quieter due to the decline in fishing. Still has some fishing and plenty of traces of its fishing heritage. Very picturesque and a number of dining and drinking opportunities too.

Picturesque harbour
Sep 2020
Another picturesque harbour along the Fife Coastal Trail. This one has plenty of cafes and restaurants, and a well break from all the walking on the trail. It was low tide when we arrived, it it wasn't as pretty without any boats.

Very pretty little harbour
Aug 2020
Nice bustling harbour with good selection of eateries, shops and other establishments. Visited in August and walked along to the end of the harbour wall and was engulfed by black flying insects - avoid during the warm season!

Bustling seaside town on the Fife coast
Aug 2020 • Family
We had a great week on holiday in Anstruther. Great base from which to explore rest of the Fife Coast. The busy harbour offers trips to the Isle of May but pre-booking is a must as spaces are limited.
