Quaint Little Memorial Clock
Sep 2021
Nice focal point in a prominent position at the end of the village main street. The memorial is well maintained and well worth photographing.

Quaint, Attractive and Shows Appreciation
Jul 2021
A very unsual monument in a prominent location remembering public service. Stands near the entrance to the railway station and car park.

Cool little clock
Jun 2021 • Business
This is a cool little clock on the main road, next to the entrance to the railway station and close to the castle. It is in memory of a local doctor. I like the brick design. It would be good if more towns had similar memorials.

Unusual memorial
Sep 2020
There is a lovely old clock commemorating a doctor Spence who was the local physician for forty years before his passing in 1910. You can’t miss it if you arrive by train and you can’t miss the train if you check the clock!!

A pleasingly different design.

Whereas most memorial clocks seem to have very similar, Victorian-style designs, this one in the lovely village of Aberdour is pleasingly different.

Its stone built, cairn-like structure gives it a solid and sturdy look, which seems particularly apt as it was erected as a memorial and tribute to Doctor Robert Spence who was the village doctor for over 40 years.

Village Tribute to Dr Robert Spence
Aug 2020
This clock tower was raised in tribute to Dr Robert Spence for his service to Aberdour as a doctor. The clock has an unusual cairn like design and sits of a wall next to an old school British phone box and colourful flowerbeds and pots. All these things added to the idyllic village feel fo the memorial clock.

Beautiful clock in the centre of a lovely village.
A very good time keeper, and walking distance from the train station (literally 1 min away).
If you are ever in Aberdour worth a little visit.
