We had our wedding here on the 29th of October, the day went perfect from start to finish, Evan & his team were first class, I can't recommend Dumfries house highly enough. It has to be #1 in Ayrshire for weddings, they do 1 wedding per weekend which means it feels special, they have stunning lodges to accommodate your guests.... More

Once a Month the "Vintage Village" has made a commitment to visit Dunfries House and display Vintage.......... Fire Engines, Tractors, Trucks and other items of interest, the additional display is free and brings a New additional Dimension to the existing wide range of attractions on the Estate. The latest Fire Engine to attend was a retired CARP Combined Aireal Rescue... More

I have taken many weddings over the years but this location is perfect. The rooms, helpful staff, good food and amazing decoration all helped provide a wonderful intimate ambience for both the happy couple, family and friends. The Lodge allows family to be together for the weekend and gives the time needed to explore the extensive grounds and gardens. All... More

We went here for a prebooked 90 min grand tour. I had been before. Absolutely stunning interior and well worth a visit. Nice estate and walks. There was also a small food market on which was nice.

We are so lucky to have this venue here in Ayrshire. Something for everyone, also beautiful walks, walled garden, maze and childrens' playgrounds. Restaurants, Cafeteria, wedding venue, etc. etc.

The House Tour was very informative, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous and house the largest collection of Chippendale Furniture, one Dresser is estimated at £20,000,000 {yes, 20 Million} and the Blue Bed even more. You need to Book the House Tour but all other Attractions are Free. The Restaurant serves nice food, there is a Gift shop. Maize and numerous... More

Went up to Dumfries House for a team building exercise in August. We went into the outdoor activity place on the estate. We had a really great day. Lunch was provided in the large hall which was where the kids eat when they are on residential trips from school. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and kept us busy all day.... More

"Saved for the Nation", this is a perfect example of conservation at its best. The house contains the most incredible collection of Chippendale Furniture in the world (literally) which was ordered and made for this house and preserved by the Dumfries House Trust organized by Prince Charles, the Duke of Rothesay. The house has an incredible history and the gardens... More

Dumfries House is supported by the Prince of Wales Trust and has been very well restored to its former glory; renovation is still in progress. The guide we had was extremely knowledgeable and there were so many artifacts, paintings and rooms to enjoy. We wished that we had had more time! The gardens are a pleasure to walk round and...
