The Trees Look Down.
Apr 2021
A very impressive sight. I did not get to go inside, the church was closed. I was walking around the town, and the extraordinary stand of trees on their front lawn was impossible to ignore. The site was open, so I could walk around the church. I liked the details in the stonework. A plaque says its mid-nineteenth century, but it may have been changed after a fire. In spite of the bell tower being very tall, the trees now manage to look down on it. The gatehouse is very cute. It seemed to be under guard from a black, one-eyed cat the day I was there.

Family Gift

Just discovered that my family had given the land, font and Windows's a gift to the town of Ballymena. Beautiful setting and well kept church.

Lovely
Jun 2017 • Solo
I like visiting churches, in fact, any place of worship. All have been built through love and dedication and this is inevitably reflected in the visual impact. Tranquility is also an attraction. Glad to see St Patrick's Church welcoming reviews some churches, strangely, don't. Well worth a visit whatever flavour you are.

Beautiful Church
Sep 2016 • Friends
The building itself is beautiful, I love the stone work. The stained glass windows look lovely from the outside, but inside the church with the light shining in, they are breathtaking. Such a lovely church. Can be cold in the winter time so if you are attending a concert or evening service etc, wrap up warm!

BEAUTIFUL CHURCH
Dec 2015 • Family
Having visited many times for services or concerts, the church is beautiful. Only downside, if you are at a concert, it is VERY cold, with a 'down-draught' from the rafters. Wrap up well!

Memorial service
Oct 2015 • Friends
Have visited this beautiful building several times over recent years, last was a memorial service to a late gentleman known to me, the service was moving and the organ playing emotional, the building especially the stainedglass is amazing.
