Gem of a cafe
Feb 2020
We visited today for the first time since the children attended the brilliant summer school last year. The site is good for a walk and splash about and lunch in the cafe. The new menu is great (some more veggie options would be great) and staff are very friendly. It has been taken over by a social enterprise and its a wonderful spot for walkers and family fun.

Sad!
Jul 2019
Theres no other work that sums this up as well as SAD. Its a shame as it could have been somewhere really great, but sadly its just dated and dreary. Theres great wildlife around the centre, and some interesting things to do inside, but there's no push from the council to make it better.
The staff area lovely and really couldn't do enough for you, but as this is on my door step, its a real shame that it doesn't get a bit of a revamp.

SHOCKED!! to be refused entry of the PUBLIC park at ecos centre, on arrival with 17 young children due to one man cleaning one area of slabs. On a warm sunny summers day, Woman refused to let us into cafe seating area for some shade. This is the second time this has occurred. Concerned rates payer!

Dog walker and dangerous drivers
Nov 2018 • Solo
I live in Ballymena but the standard of people in cars using the “shared access road” deterred me from using it yet my rates no doubt reflect “safe” public areas.
The speed limit is clearly marked as 10mph though this is ignored to the degree that some of the driving is dangerous. I totally understand that 10mph could well be hard to adhere to but given that there is a part with no footpath, surely, for the safety of all users speed limiting “bumps” or ramps ( Sorry I do not know the correct terminology) should be installed. Or better still, mend the footpath and limit speed.
As I said I do not feel safe in the simple act of getting a dog into or out of my car, a real shame since it is probably the closest park to me.

Lovely farm shop and garden centre.
Aug 2018 • Friends
On the road in there is a lovely garden centre and farm shop. Also sell a variety of local produce at reasonable prices.
Really helpful friendly staff full of good advice.

Visit the Ecosystem centre for a coffee or breakfast, enjoy the walks and out door gym equipment.

Saturday outing
Aug 2018 • Friends
A lovely drive into this popular walk. Called at fruit and vegetable/garden centre on route. Well worth a visit and so busy. Great variety of plants, veg, fruit , chutneys and local honeys for sale. Drawbridge cafe not open on Saturday, just Monday to Friday. Amble parking with a variety of walks to choose from.
