A challenge
Sep 2021
Walking to Studland from Swanage wasn’t too challenging if you’re used to walking. Made the mistake of walking back over Ballard Downs and then being confronted with very steep steps into Ulwell. Found this extremely challenging after walking a good few miles. Should have stuck to coastal path on way back as well!

Best walk in the world

No matter what the weather, this is the walk I love the most. Great views of the area. Easily accessible from both ends of the walk.

Scenic walk
Sep 2020 • Couples
Old Harry’s Rock and the breathtaking scenery on the Jurassic coastline. The walk is quite easy on good trails but its still a good 5hrs return trip from the Poole ferry landing. Social distancing a bit “tight” at times but it’s outdoors

An Enjoyable Walk
Aug 2020
The walk from Durlston Castle is downhill walk.Best to wear stout shoes/trainers. The walk is scenic, but not suitable for wheel chairs. The same walk is very pleasant, but uphill.

Simply Stunning
Jul 2020
We walked from South beach car park up to Old Harry's Rocks then up to Ballard Down , then back to the village. The views are amazing and although you are ascending all the time, it is quite gentle climb. Worth going early to get parked but also before the crowds

Stunning part of the coastline
Feb 2020
A relatively easy walk from the corner shop in School Lane. The views on the way are beautiful but nothing quite prepares you for the stunning views of Old Harry Rocks and the view along the coastline. It was quite breezy up there for our visit ! Loved it and would recommend it to anyone in the area to make the effort to walk up and enjoy these magnificent views.
