Shell Bay is so different whilst the ferry is out of commission- so much quieter. The National Trust car park is never full any more and apart from the hassle of the traffic lights on the outskirts of Corfe it is so much easier to...More

This is an amazing beach with lots of glorious sand and wasn't too busy...even on an August Saturday afternoon. It was also good to see the Ferry come through too- the kids loved seeing it!

This is one of my favourite beaches in the uk. A real treasure, particularly for a sunny day. There are no shops or cafes (although this year there is a national trust van in the car park) and so the beach never gets too busy.

I adore Shell Bay. From family holidays as a kid collecting shells and exploring the shallow water, to getting engaged here to then bringing my own baby on an evening stroll. Many more memories to come.

Loving beach. Wonderful to walk. Dogs welcome. Peddle Boarding paradise all the way to Old Harry’s Rocks. Can take a toll ferry back to Sandbanks for lovely restaurant also. Watch the sun set here and just chilling. Windbreaker is recommended. Must see!

This is the sort of place people rave about when they comeback from holiday. An amazing restaurant on the beach in the Caribbean or somewhere exotic. And yet we got it here in the UK just miles from the uninspiring Town centre of Bournemouth. Food...More
