A very good little museum covering a lot of the history of Portland and other topics as well from shipwrecks to dinosaurs! We were warmly welcomed by the staff at the entrance, one of whom explained about the museum and what it contained as well...More

It's not the rest of my family's idea of fun, but for me the history of Portland fascinating from Prisons, quarries to ship wrecks. Had to call in twice. Well worth a visit.

Reasonably prices and very interesting museum. Not just about Portland stone, they had some interesting stories about famous locals including Marie Stopes. Worth a visit.

Very good little Museum to visit...my girls loved it here lots to look at and learn about life in and around Weymouth and Portland...not very expensive for a family of 4 I think it was about £9 for us all... Clean and quaint place with...More
