What a friendly place! We were in Bridport to meet friends and needed somewhere to eat first. The menu was varied and we opted for veggies in salsa sauce with melted cheese, chips and salad, and fish and chips. It was tasty (though less salsa sauce would be better) and excellent value. There was a folk night happening later and... More

We have been here before! This should be soooo much better. Really disappointed with the beer - just two Cornish beers; and no atmosphere. It's Saturday night and we are four and there are six! people in the bar! Please, please, please make more of an effort! On Saturday night this pub should be busy!

This must be the friendliest pub I have ever visited. The owners chatty without being obtrusive and lovely personalities. Obviously a favourite with the locals who were also willing to greet strangers to their pub. Food good and reasonably priced. Just a short walk from the High Street. Well worth a visit. MEL.

Good Landlord. Only stopped for a drink, whilst the wife had a coffee. A really nice old fashioned pub with a good selection of drinks. Very clean loos. Would return again but for the fact that my wife called the coffee 'dire'!

I would highly recommend The Woodman. All the staff extend a warm welcome, the food is always excellent and delivered quickly. Great selection of drinks at a good price too. My only negative, there is a large group of senior locals that visit on a Saturday, we were clearly in "their" usual seats and were surrounded and loudly talked over.... More

Superb pub grub, really friendly staff, and glorious weather. Pop in with family to this superb Bridport pub whenever I can, pub garden is a perfect place with children during the day, food is exactly what you want from a pub, and the owners and staff are brilliant and friendly. Oh, and the loos are clean and fresh.

Popped in whilst in Bridport on a weekend and had a really beautiful meal. The staff were wonderful, super welcoming and cheerful. Always going to make time for a quick drop in next time in Bridport.

Went into Bridport for the day and found this little hem of a gastro pub. The chef there has put a really good menu together but we had only stopped for a quick lunch and coffee. We had baguettes and I had a bacon and brie panini, a shared bowl of chips with coffee and tea. £27. Didn't think it... More
