A small museum on two floors. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well looked after by volunteers. Interesting demonstration of rope making and talk about local history and present rope and net making in Bridport. Good selection of various materials used in the process. Good number...More

The museum has limited opening hours so do check before visiting. Modern, free, child and disabled friendly. I left with a piece of rope I’d made! It was a great little find on a wet lunchtime.

Visited Bridport museum on a wet Wednesday in October and received a very warm welcome from the staff who explained the layout of the museum and the various galleries to us. It may be free but is definitely worth the suggested £3 donation. As well...More

I'm afraid we only allowed assistance dogs inside the Museum. However, well-behaved dogs are always welcome to rest inside our porch!
