About
Clocktower Records pre-loved vinyl records of all types and styles. Based in Bridport's Historic Industrial & Vintage Quarter, it's one of the secret jewels of Dorset. Clocktower Records Bridport is based in an area that stretches back more than 200 years. The area was a key part of the pioneering West Dorset net and rope making industry, providing equipment for Nelson’s fleet as well as South West Coast fishing fleets and later for the UK Lawn Tennis Association and the UK Football Association. Bridport has a thriving outdoor Street Market on Wednesday and Saturday, weather permitting alongside well established Artist Studios, Music Venues. The are well known festivals held during the year including Literary, Film, Food, Beer, Hat and a Torchlight Procession to West Bay. The surrounding area has appeared in many TV Series and Films, including Broadchurch, if the had a Record Shop it would probably be Clocktower Records.

A truly iconic record shop and so much more. Always a great pleasure to pop in and see what they have. A great welcome even if it's just to browse. Some really interesting vinyl to be found here of all genres. Well worth a visit or 600.

Took a little while to find - more my fault than theirs - but so worth it. Good selection and extremely good value. Helpful staff and interesting decor. Unit is within a large off road yard with parking and other businesses, so handy for when you load up the car with your purchases....

Tucked away from the main street of Bridport, this place is a real treasure - full of CDs, magazines, merch and records at unbeatable prices; but on top of that the decor is perfection: every inch of this shop has been thought out. You can play pinball and various other old school games; sit on the sofas; put your choice of records on and listen to them... it's a really full experience.
My friend and I spent a good hour browsing in here as the atmosphere was so relaxed and lovely, and the man who owned it was so friendly. It's somewhere you really want to spend time in! (and it even has toilets - something I've never encountered in a record store before)
I could happily live in this place....not one to miss

We are so lucky in this little part of West Dorset to have a shop like this. With a vast selection of records at all price points, and covering all styles of music. There is also the benefit of a selection of HiFi separates and vintage record players. All this in a great atmosphere, with lots of seating to sit and enjoy the music. Come on Roy, how about a coffee machine 😎. Alan

This shop is such a find, really friendly and helpful staff, and such a brilliant selection of vinyls, we could have stayed for hours. We’ll be back for more records (and to play that amazing pinball machine again).

If you have any interest in vinyl records, CDs, HiFi and music memorabilia then this really has got to be one of the very best places I've visited!
They are located in a fabulous building right in the heart of the historic, bustling and charming town of Bridport. The shop is a delight to wander into with your eyes just taken this way and that with all things 'music'! A great selection of quality goods at really decent prices It seems to grow and get better and better on each visit and is now surely part of this lovely town's rich and varied community too.
Loos, comfy sofa, chairs, listening stations, pinball, tea facilities, T- shirts made locally - and Roy and his staff couldn't be any more welcoming or more knowledgeable.
There are many reasons to visit Bridport and the beautiful surrounding area - and now this is definitely another one!

Clocktower Music has a large range of LP's of ALL musical genres (subject to availability in a second-hand market) including Classical and ranging in price from 50p, £3, £5 to more expensive prices for the rare stuff.

They also sell new reissue LP's at competitive prices.

There is seating, free coffee, a pinball machine, a jukebox, a shop HiFi system to play a potential choice of record or instead listen on headphones in the listening booth (remember them?) They sell second-hand CD's books and magazines too.

Or how about a vintage radio adapted for blu tooth and the internet? Second-hand HiFi equipment is also on sale and T shirts with local/individual slogans printed on the premises, I believe.

The atmosphere is relaxed - almost like a record buyer's club if such a thing existed. No pressure to purchase quickly and leave. If you're after something in particular the staff seem very knowledge of their stock and whether they hold or can obtain your request. It's a record shop run by music fans. A chain store it isn't.

I spent a couple of very enjoyable hours in there. I understand it will soon have a recording studio attached. Local artists gig there. It's a local meeting point for musicians.

If you want to visit a record shop - and there are so few around nowadays - that combines the best bits of the 1960's/1970's independent record shops with innovative new ideas for the 2000's then Clocktower is well worth a visit.

If you're a music obsessive who still plays or who has rediscovered vinyl you must stop off here and be prepared to spend money. Their stock and knowledge are extensive and just about every imaginable genre is covered. You can get amps fixed too from exotic hi fi, which they also sell, to your treasured Fender valve amp. An absolute treasure of a place.

Very friendly. We arrived at an off time and they opened up for us and were extremely helpful. They know their stuff and did not act opinionated when you had questions. Buy your vinyl here.
