We stayed two doors away from this great little gem of a pub. From the moment we walked in the landlord and landlady were very welcoming and all of their staff were very attentive. We ate on our first night of our stay and were so impressed we booked for sunday lunch. Both meals were truly amazing, service was quick... More

We were visiting relatives in Shaldon, and also needed somewhere to watch live football! This is apparently the only place in the village you can do this, but even without it there is no need to go anywhere else for a nice drink. As for the food, well amazing is all we can say. Fantastic quality, great service, and quickly... More

The outdoor beer garden is perfect for enjoying a cider in the sun and the small children we were with enjoyed the... More

Tucked away just off the Ringmore road is the hidden Gem of the Shipwrights. Expect a warm welcome, good food and beer, and a suntrap garden.

We stumbled upon this place after relocating to the area and what a find. The owners are fantastic, really friendly and clearly have a passion for running a succesful pub. Always 3 real ales on and with food, sky sports and live music...what more could you want. The beer garden is a real suntrap and well worth winding away an... More

This is a place to go for a friendly welcome, really good food at a very reasonable price, and a selection of beers to suit everyone. There is a spacious and very safe outside area, a bright and comfortable bar area, and a lovely dining room. Not just a place to visit its a place to go.
