Teeny, hidden but beautiful beach spot. Long when the tide is out and fun when the tide is coming in! Beautifully sheltered and an excellent food and drink hut. The curry is a must! Take cash for this little gem. Highly recommend.

A real delight and allow yourself time to enjoy the wonderful surroundings. We saw all age groups here and this must surely be the ultimate rock-pool fun area for kids to explore

We visited when the tide was fairly low so plenty of rocky areas & pools to go exploring. There are streps going down to beach which felt fairly safe. The rock formations are like something from another world & with a lovely small sandy beach...More

The beach of crushed shells made play for the toddlers sand free. They enjoyed the rock pools, mini rock climbing, stone skimming sea glass collecting and stone balancing kept our family group entertained all afternoon. This was helped by it being the hottest day in...More

This is a great family beach, and as others have said, it includes, seasonally, a Sri Lankan porta-cabin style restaurant serving great food on proper plates...bring your own wine. Choose a day when wind direction makes it sheltered, so not a Westerly unless light. For...More

As it was October we were able to park on the road near Woolacoombe for free. There is not a car park right at the beach. There are a lot of steps down to the beach so go slow and take your time. It is...More

Renown as an excellent shell beach I made a detour on a recent visit to Devon just to go there. The tide was approaching fast as we arrived and the day was sunny & bright. The cove is small but sheltered from wind by high...More

Lovely beach to explore the rocks and rock pools. The added advantage of a cafe on the beach is a definite yes. Worth the walk down and the climb back up.

I found several small pieces of sea glass and shells. The shells were tiny but very varied and some I hadn’t seen before.
