We visited on Sunday (August BH weekend) and the sun was shining. We had been told about the open air car park just above the quay (turn right just before coop petrol station) and this was 1/3rd price of the Quay car park 20 steps...More

Kingsbridge unfortunately like so many towns across the country has lots of empty shops but make sure you visit the crab shell restaurant along the Quay which is on the outskirts of Kingsbridge

Crabbing, Salcombe dairy ice cream stall, mini railway, ferry, quiet and friendly. parking can be done by phone or coins.

What a nice town Kingsbridge is. Down by the quay particularly when the tide is in is lovely. Take a ride on the miniature railway along the quay. When the tides out watch the wading birds catch the trapped fish.

Having visited Kingsbridge many times in the past we were so sad to see how it is declining like so many other towns. Many of the lovely independent shops have been replaced by charity shops, no doubt due to the greedy council ripping them off...More

Worth a trip up to Kingsbridge, but preferable when the tide is in. Otherwise, the ferry from Salcombe stops short - and its a 7-minute walk into town!
